I have to write this regarding etiquette. I’m of European mixed background and our culture is extremely polite and hospitable.During a meal at this restaurant I asked the woman waitress what time the restaurant closed and she informed me that I had well over an hour. I ordered my meal and commenced eating it After fifteen minutes she came up to me and told me they were closing in five minutes and I looked at her in dismay at the fact she was rushing me out of the restaurant and there was another couple there in the middle of having they meal and they shook their heads in disbelief at the rudeness we encountered. I did a search to educate myself on Asian restaurant etiquette and found the following information……..
It's generally not polite in many Asian cultures to be told a restaurant is closing while you're still eating. This is because in many Asian cultures, dining is a social activity, and leaving immediately after being informed that a restaurant is closing can be seen as disrespectful to the host (if you're being hosted) or can be perceived as rushing the meal. Here's why it's generally considered impolite: Respect for the host: If you're dining with someone, rushing the meal due to a closing announcement can be seen as disrespectful to the host and the meal they've offered. Social nature of dining: In many Asian cultures, dining is a social activity where people gather, chat, and enjoy each other's company. Being told to leave while you're still enjoying the meal and the company can be seen as rude.
I do not believe this at all and find it extremely offensive they are doing this in my country. No more need be...
Read moreWe traveled back to Sydney from Jervis Bay to Kiama and Wollongong, feeling absolutely starving and craving some spicy Thai food. As a Thai person, I was searching for something truly authentic—and we found it here! We arrived at the restaurant around 1 PM, and from the moment we walked in, it felt just like home. The warm welcome from the staff, their kindness, and their big smiles instantly reminded me of Thailand. We ordered Crispy Pork with Chinese Broccoli (Kana Moo Krob)—it was absolutely delicious, just like in Thailand! My friends ordered fried rice, fried pork basil, chicken satay, and Thai tea, and every dish was packed with amazing flavors. We were all so happy with our meals! I highly recommend this place to both Thai people and anyone who loves authentic Thai food. The taste, atmosphere, and hospitality truly make you feel like you’re in Thailand. ปล. ขอบคุณสำหรับก้านโหระพาที่ให้มาด้วยนะคะ ตอนนี้ปลูกเต็มหลังบ้านแล้วค่ะ...
Read moreWas hungry at the awkward time of 4 pm--too late for lunch, too early for dinner--I was glad to find this place open (daily 9:00–21:30, no break). You order at the counter and pay first, which keeps things easy.
We were the only dine-in customers (a couple of people came in for takeaway). Staff were friendly and welcoming.
I ordered the beef stir-fry in ginger sauce with steamed rice. It came quickly, and it was a perfectly sized portion for me. The flavors were balanced--not too salty, oily, or sweet--with fresh ginger adding a nice kick.
I finished every bite and felt satisfied but not heavy. Simple, wholesome, and delicious. I’ll...
