Connies Cliff Road Cafe — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

A cute little cafe in Wollongong. Nice views of the beach. When we arrived, there were no seats available outside, but some inside. We didn't mind either way. Menu's were located on the table and you go to the counter to order. Drinks came out quickly and food not long after. My daughter had a chocolate milkshake and enjoyed that. Another person had a coffee and said it was great and I had a black English Breakfast, which was average.

Menu had a nice variety. We ordered one avocado on toast and two big breakfasts. The meal was average. Not the worst we have had, but definitely not the best. For the price I was expecting better.

Street parking only which is very painful to find a spot.

In summary, a great little place for location and quick service. But not so much for the price and quality...

The coffee here is fabulous; as are the ambiance and the service generally. I often come here when I’m in Wollongong, hoping to see some familiar faces.

Eggs Benedict is a favourite of mine, and I detest that many cafes serve it on sourdough bread instead of muffins as it should be; but it is so common now that I am not so disappointed by it any more.

In this case though, I must have copped the crusty ends of a couple of loaves, because I had four very tough pieces of bread underneath.

I was surprised when my plate with a lot of bread was taken from table that I was not asked if everything was okay.

It looked like new people were in training? Hopefully this was a one-off, as I will be back to this cheery spot...

Ordered takeaway breakfast meals with an estimated collection time of 30 minutes. Upon arrival meals were not ready, staff were not aware of the order and was told to wait out the front. After 25 minutes of waiting I went back inside to ask about the meals, staff seemed unsure of the order and it seemed there was a miscommunication between staff as the meals were ready and sitting at the counter. In total waited an hour for the meals which were cold when arriving home. Drinks also had no straws and were...
