I would recommend this place for good food. The entrees were really delicious, the fried oysters & sashimi, the pork belly was yummy though I wish it was a little more crunchier for my liking. Overall great entries, however, the main meal itself lacked a little bit. It wasn't bad by any means but a little underwhelming. The noodles in my sukiyaki were stuck together with no flavour, I had to pry them apart with chopsticks, and the rice meal was just rice and meat not too much flavour.

If you eat here I would recommend splurging on the entrees and avoid the main meals unless it is something you really enjoy.

The staff were nice and the drinks were good. I think everything was very reasonable prices.

ETA I went a second time and I really enjoyed the ramen soup, it was much better than the rice dishes I originally had. I will definitely be back...

Tucked away between two Wollongong icons (Humber and Kneading Ruby), we happened to stumble upon this restaurant recently. I have now been fortunate to have been to this restaurant twice, both times being great. They have both indoor and outdoor dining and it's not too crowded so conversation can be had comfortably. Their food was all very good. On our most recent experience we enjoyed Katsu Pork, Mixed sushi, miso soup, Asahi black on tap and Umeshu liqueur. And we were also pleasantly surprised to have a free dessert thrown in, which was a great ending to what had been a somewhat ordinary day for us. They definitely deserve to have some positive vibes come back their way.

So for great food and service, give this place a try. We will...

Went here last night for dinner and was really impressed with the food, the service, the space and price.

We had some lovely Tuna sashimi - the fish was so tender and delicate - the best Tuna sashimi I've had in Australia. The vegetable Gyoza was also delicious, with attention to detail in the flavours. Once we had tried the sashimi and Gyoza, we knew that this was a Japernese restaurant that strives for perfection.

The donburi (rice bowl) with roast beef was next level. The roast beef was so tender, high quality and cooked to perfection, it was really something very special.

Service was lovely and nice, and the atmosphere was really nice too. Good value for money as well. Highly recommend and we...

Hands down the best Japanese food I’ve had in Wollongong. The takoyaki was perfection. Crisp on the outside, soft and creamy inside. The chicken curry was also a winner. My daughter ate all the chicken and rice but left the curry, which I gladly finished. Still full of flavour. There’s fun activities to keep the kids entertained 🥰 The ramen and everything else we ordered hit the spot. Comfort food done right. The new location is so cosy and welcoming. I actually love it more than their old one. It feels more personal, like you’re stepping into a warm little corner of Japan. Already planning my next visit.

Amazing meal and excellent service, I will definitely be coming back! I came for a quiet meal that was a bit different to what we usually eat. I’m unfamiliar with much of the Japanese cuisine, aside from sushi, so I asked the waitress for her recommendation. I had the lunch special, with some crumbed fish pieces, associated sashimi which included salmon, kingfish and tuna, udon in broth, potato mash, pickled vegetables and edamame beans. My friend had the chicken katsu curry. The whole meal was amazing and fresh, the fish was full of flavour. There was so much food I couldn’t finish.

Wollongong has many fine Japanese restaurants but Tsuki is the best for authentic, no-nonsense, Japanese home-style cooking. The menu is brief, but all big hitters, and the drinks menu is spectacular, with imported beers that are hard to find elsewhere in Australia and Asahi on tap. Then it’s all capped off with an excellent sake tester paddle (three different sake from across Japan). All of this for an almost unbelievably good price. Big fan and highly recommend it for anyone looking for authentic Japanese meals.
