We had lunch, Saturday 27th November 2021, 12.30pm. The place was quiet, maybe 1/4 capacity. We were brought water and service was pleasant. We first ordered Iced chocolate, without cream and were brought drinks with massive amount of cream that made up a large portion of the drinks. I had the seafood fritti, big mistake. watermelon, fetta and rocket salad consisted of pinch of dry rocket leaves, two small cubes of melon and two smaller cubes of fetta, no dressing. the seafood was three of the skungiest poverty prawns, I've had. (the type you can buy in most supermarkets for about $20/kg. these were the small ones, 140 to the kg. and 8/10 very thinly sliced squid rings. both were over cooked and flavourless and the prawns tasted like they had been re-fried, dry and not pleasant. My granddaughters kiddies fish and chips was also poor. tiny piece of fish with chips that had spent an excessive time in a warmer or had also been re-fried. it came with a salad full of capsican that few kiddies would find palatable. My daughters meal was ok but very expensive for what it was. As an example, two small pieces of whiting and chips, served with the poor salad I had, cost $36! In general the food was way below average pub food, at fine dining prices. We all wished we chose the...
Read moreI wish I could rate this restaurant a 0 star review. First of all, I went to Bada Bing cafe with my friend, as the opening time said 7:30 we decided to go at that time. When we arrived, it was still shut, the time being 7:37 we assumed that they were just running a little late. HALF AND HOUR later they finally opened, it was raining and my friend and I had the patience to actually wait. As we went inside, the staff didn't apologise for being tardy, they just told us "hello, please take your seat." We sat down and waited for 5 minutes until they finally gave us our menu. Straight away they asked us if we wanted coffee, we said no and then she asked us what drinks would we like. After we ordered a short time later we ordered our breakfast. I ordered the pancakes and my friend ordered the same without nutella. The waitress looked confused and almost questioning her choice, but she left a minute after. We got our food. My friend (who asked for no nutella) got her pancakes, we were promised 3 but they gave her 2. Her other pancake came a minute later on a separate plate. Weird. The bananas were hard, the pancakes were rubbery and extremely pricey. I would NEVER come to this cafe...
Read moreThis morning I thought I would try a local cafe in my area, bada bing. Needless to say both my friend and I were thoroughly underelmed. Once we arrived at the opening time of 7.30 the staff took another 37 minutes for the waitress signal me to come in. If waiting for half an hour outside on a brisk rainy morning wasn't bad enough the table service, food, and prices defiantly made this an experience I would hope not to revisit. Once we waited another 20 minutes for our food, whilst trying to have a conversation over the employees gossiping over Marge and her husband joey, the waitress arrived with one plate of three pancakes and the other with two smaller ones. (Although ordering the same thing) Before I could ask for another pancake the waitress arrived with a plate with one sad cold pancake. Although the appearance of the plate was adequate the rubbery taste of the pancakes paired with the unripened bananas and 3 dollar icecream from the super market across the shopping centre, made for an unappealing dish. At least it wasn't expensive.. Oh wait it was 47 dollars. Needless to say I will never revisit this...
