I know what I'm getting with red rooster and the one thing that they did best was delivered food. They had their own drivers and you knew your food was going to be delivered hot and reasonably fast. Well not anymore...
I ordered online using the red rooster app. When the food arrived very late I was missing my drink. I asked the driver where was my drink? The driver said that they were from doordash and that's is what she had received so I must contact the restaurant. Fair enough I thought. I tried. They don't answer the phone. I get it they are probably busy right? So I go on the red rooster app and explain that I didn't get part of my order etc. After requesting an email to resolve this issue (I realise I am not getting my correct order today) so I hit send and eat my meal.
I explained to my friend what happened with my dinner the previous day and that I had to go into their app and do this and that etc. So he asked did they contact me back? I say ok, I'll look. And no email. I check several days in a row and nothing... You know what, if I ever email Macca's their customer service is amazing. They do respond very fast. Unlike red rooster joondanna. So a week later I write this.
tldr: They no longer deliver their own food so expect mistakes, cold food and you will get zero resolution if this happens to you. Yay! Well done red rooster Joondanna! You earned the one star review.
Update: I don't want the drink anymore ok... Just sayin'🤣
Update 2: And today the manager replied to my Google review, sorry but I explained very clearly what happened and I did send a customer feedback form that was ignored until I wrote my google review. Too little too late... I suggest you should try to respond to your customers and this wouldn't...
Read moreHaving worked in customer service for years, I understand how challenging it can be to stay positive and "on" all the time. However, the way we were greeted and spoken to at the order box came across as abrupt and quite rude, almost as if we were inconveniencing them by being paying customers.
I understand that Red Rooster isn't doing the best right now, and being employed as a fast food worker definitely does suck sometimes, but this experience made me want to go to McDonald's, HJ’s or KFC instead.
Also, I was surprised that we couldn't purchase a single piece of fried chicken and were forced to buy six. Although I didn’t want to, I bought the six pieces, which cost me $15. You'd think they'd be happy we're giving them more business, and for that price, I'd expect better customer service. This discrepancy made the poor service even more disappointing compared to the product. Finally, she did get the order wrong at the window causing the wait time to be longer and the food wasn’t even fresh at all.
Honestly, I’m not want to complain this much over a fast food experience guys please up your game - red rooster is a great Aussie brand. I know you can do better. Especially for nearly $50 to...
Read moreFirst time in this particular place and first time I've eaten Dead Rooster in over twenty years. And I only went to try their Fried Chicken. Hmmmm......how do I express my disappointment. Have you ever had Kentucky Fried Chicken? Imagine that. Minus the Colonel's 11 Secret Herbs and Spices. I could have made it better at home. Having the Man ask me what piece I wanted, wing or leg? Didn't help. If you are offering a two piece pack, with or without chips. The usual thing, historically speaking. Is give the customer a large and small piece. Like the thigh or breast plus a drumstick or wing. Don't just offer the two smallest pieces of the Chicken. It makes you look cheap. At least it wasn't expensive. Two dollars each. But I'm Old. I remember in the 70s getting two pieces and chips, in a bigger box. For $1.99! Even the old Hawaiian pack with a quarter of Chicken, chips and a fried Banana or Pineapple slice was only a dollar more. Just try harder, Red...
