After a morning tour of the charming town of Dürnstein, we were on our way back to the cruise ship when we stumbled upon a small roadside beer and food shack with outdoor benches. Deciding to take a break, we opted for some beer and coffee. Two members of our group approached the window, where a lone server was stationed, to place our order. Meanwhile, a few others took a seat on the benches, waiting for their drinks.
Out of nowhere, the server suddenly rushed out and, in a loud and rude tone, demanded that we order before sitting down. This outburst was completely uncalled for, especially since we were already in the process of placing our order. Taken aback by his attitude, and disappointed by the unwelcoming behavior, we chose to leave.
Up until this point, we had been enjoying the warm, welcoming Austrian hospitality, and it was disheartening to have such a negative experience at this establishment. We can only hope that this server is an unfortunate exception to the otherwise friendly and courteous service we've...

Despite the high quality, the prices are fair and reasonable, so you get a decent portion for your money. The sausages are fresh, crispy and excellently seasoned. The Käsekrainer or Bratwurst in particular are extremely tasty and highly recommended. Accompanying side dishes such as mustard, ketchup, gherkins and fresh bread complement the sausages perfectly. The stand has an inviting, classic snack atmosphere that is particularly appealing to locals and tourists. The stand is centrally located and therefore easy to reach. Conclusion: A very good sausage stand impresses with its outstanding quality of food, friendly service and an authentic atmosphere.
