China-Restaurant Mondsee — Restaurant in Mondsee

!!!! DON'T COME HERE FOR FOOD!!!! The shopkeeper was utterly rude and their attitude was outrageous. It goes like this: they put down a dish with a bowl of rice that we didn't order (we didn't know the dish wasn't ours so we took a bite of each). After 5 minutes, the shopkeeper/server later took away the dish (not the rice) and put it back to the opposite table that sat a bunch of Vietnamese people. They surely knew what happened but they accepted the food!? I would feel totally grossed out if I were them...

Eventually the shopkeeper insisted to charge us for the rice they mistakenly put down in the first place. The thing is we didn't order any of this and we ate it by mistake. It was all the lady's fault. She even threatened to call the cop if we didn't pay. We actually supported this idea. She finally chickened out and let us go, only with a lot of murmuring behind our back. It was the most atrocious day here in Austria.

PS. They would also charge you for every extra empty plate/bowl you get. (with prior notice but it wasn't necessary)

PS #2. This restaurant must close down...

I’ve been a regular at this restaurant for 20 years. Every time I come back I’m always met by a friendly lady at the front, delicious food and good service.

But I saw recently there were reviews that say otherwise. At least 6 of them say the same thing! Clearly it is one person writing them all and they have nothing better to do in their spare time. Normally I don’t leave reviews but I can’t stand to see that kind of thing said to my favourite restaurant!

Also um zu warnen, ich komme zwar aus dem Osten von Österreich = die Auswahl sehr groß, aber dem Chinesen in Mondsee kann und will ich auch keine gute Bewertung geben. Bestellung Hummerchip als Vorspeise und Hühnerfleisch mit Bambus und Morcheln, dazu Reis, zum trinken Almdudler( in der Flasche kann nicht schlecht sein) Campari Orange ( sehr grosse Eiswürfel damit die Menge mehr erscheint, mit Würfel bei Marke). Das Essen Hummerchip erschienen gut waren glänzend ( einfach mit Öl bestrichen) Geschmack gut. Die Hauptspeise von der größe her ok, aber der Geschmack wo war der hin ??? ausser fettiger Geschmack keiner, viel Bambus ebenso mehr Morcheln wenig Fleisch und vor allen wo war die Knoblauchsousse ( habe ich eigentlich schon bei den Chips gesucht) Von mir auf jeden Fall KEINE Empfehlung!....
