THOMSN Central Pizzeria & Restaurant — Restaurant in Saalbach-Hinterglemm

The place is really quick with serving you and many others food. But unfortunately this at the expense of the quality. The spareribs are very mediocre but seen the price definitely not good enough. But then the pulled chicken burger… just a DISASTER. My friend told me how bad it was and I was like “it’s not going to be that bad stop it”… well, I have had many many pulled chicken burgers in my life and this didn’t even taste like chicken, more like fish… mackerel. It was super wet and tasteless, as if it was cleansed and put through a blender. When telling the staff they were kind of smarty-pants about it: “this is what pulled chicken is like”. JUST NOPE. They could have given us a discount or coffee for free, to just give an example, but they just shrugged, which makes the experience worse. There is much better food for better prices around. Place feels not cosy at all, more like a money making machine. Where is the quality, it’s such a nice location… lots...

Came to Thomsn for a late evening as all other places in the vicinity where closed already. The winter garden patio is quite nice and surely offers great views during the day. The space is vast and there are lots of tables. We ordered pizza. The drinks came fast but pizza took over 30 min to arrive. Low quality of ingredients - the pizza was very fatty - but maybe they go for American style pizza? So that was very disappointing. Other then that, The menu is shockingly overpriced. I get it - the place is new, wooden/glass interiors, great location view a Mountain view, a modern casual atmosphere. But you pay for the food too in the end, no? The service was confused for the most part and radiating with fake, forced friendliness, bad day maybe. There is a potential there but the food offering has a long way to go, especially to justify...

We had a lovely late lunch here with the friendliest service and hospitality. I arrived early but it was no problem to seat my at our table of 5 already. Good nachos, pulled chicken and excellent pizzas and soup. Presentation* is also good. The space was comfortable and airy, a restaurant with a view. The only downside was getting the check and not in a way that it was too expensive. All the nice waiters had left somehow, and the lady cleaning tables was annoyed we dared ask her to get us the bill to pay.
