Seven of us attended on Friday 10 March 2023 and were left very disappointed by the service and attitude of management. Booked a table for 9pm (only time available) and we’re threatened that if we did not turn up on time our table would be given away and we would be charged €75 for not attending. We arrived around 8.30pm and had drinks in the lounge, but not provided with food menus to make our choices. We’re eventually seated at 9.20pm and tried to order some bread for the table but were told we had to wait for our starters to arrive as it was easier for the kitchen. After having to remind staff twice we eventually received our starters at 10pm. Blame for the time delay was placed by staff on a ‘difficult’ table behind us. Eventually received our main meals which in fairness were very tasty but by this time it was really too late to fully enjoy it. The waiter was trying his best in difficult circumstances as there appeared to be too many guests for staff to deal with. Asked to speak to a manager, who said she understood our frustration and returned a short time later to blame the waiting staff for overwhelming the kitchen with too many orders at the same time !! Very disappointing and dissatisfying explanation, no real attempt at an apology and certainly no offer of any compensation, to an expensive night. No complaints with waiting staff, but management need to look at not being so greedy and trying to force too many people through when the kitchen cannot cope. Very disappointing experience when it had the potential to be an enjoyable...

Disappointing Experience at Al Fuego
While our server was kind and attentive, the overall experience at Al Fuego was incredibly disappointing due to the actions (or lack thereof) from the management. As someone with food allergies, I rely on menus to clearly indicate common allergens. Unfortunately, Al Fuego fails in this regard.
We ordered a dish that unexpectedly contained walnuts, with no mention of nuts on the menu. When we brought this serious issue to the attention of the owners, they did not take it seriously at all. They refused to take the dish back or offer any compensation for the oversight. It was alarming to see such disregard for food allergies, which can be life-threatening.
A restaurant that doesn’t prioritize customer safety or transparency is one I cannot recommend. I won’t be returning to Al Fuego and would advise others with dietary restrictions to be...
Read moreWe went to the restaurant 2 times on a recent trip to St Anton. The rating of 3 is an average score of the two visits (one 2, one 4). For the visits, the food was (#1) good with some average dishes, and (#2) average with some good dishes. On the second visit, the service was a mess, mis-timed dishes, a large table ordering after us getting their food 20 minutes earlier while our kids were starving, meat (lamb) and potatoes coming out undercooked, back to the kitchen for 25 minutes to cook more, and the servers were not bothered. The app plates were good, as well as the ribs (the first time, second time charred), and the restaurant interior is very nice, but our experience speaks to an inconsistency with food and service. ...
