Q - Taste The Night — Restaurant in Sankt Anton am Arlberg

Ok - so here is the thing…

I have been going to St Anton for years….

I have half wondered about this little door by the Sport Hotel with a Q over it….what even is it?

I got as far as looking and discovered it was an Asian Fusion Dinner Club….

How often is this done badly…..and…..I am in the Tyrol right…..so I should eat local…..so off I headed for a bone dry Schnitzel or not so traditional steak/burger/tapas!

Massive HUGE MISTAKE….

Tonight my Son decided he wanted something different so we went in to have a look.

As we walked down the two flights of black stairs with mirrors we wondered what we would find…when we got to the restaurant the fit out was exceptional….properly cool and funky without being try hard insta cliche!!

A smiling lady came over and asked if we had a reservation…when we said hadn’t but could we come back in 30 minutes…..a quick look at her iPad showed this clearly wasn’t possible….a moments pause then she smiled and just said “I will make it work’…….but don’t be late!!!

I transpires we had just met Stephanie….a force of nature!!!!

When we came back we got a choice of table before being guided through the extensive, imaginative, clever, inspired menu….oh and being asked for our view on the Fresh Perigord truffle she was about to throw away as she wasn’t happy with it - this is Black Gold!!!!

Choices made and drinks delivered and we were treat to some TRULY exceptional food….

Despite quietly managing the entire service Stephanie was always there for a chat about here family, her ambitions when she started in the Catering Industry that drove her to start her own business 8 years ago.

This was a wonderful evening, with two Teenage boys absolutely engaged……If you only eat in one place in St Anton - make it here!!!

We were very grateful to book a table last minute for a friends birthday for our large party of 11. I arrived early to set-up the space. That is when the incredible service from Lola began! She helped me decorate and attended to our every need in a warm, through, kind and efficient manner. She did not miss a single que. We were kept topped up with beverages and the food was prepared quickly! Compliments to the chef. We enjoyed every dish! We would appreciate if you ensured this feed back was received by your staff....

Had drinks one night - good drinks, nice atmosphere, and service. Decided to have dinner the following night.

The dinner was a big disappointment. The plating was nice, it looked really good. Unfortunately, the flavors weren't on point. Not even close. Given the relatively high price for each dish, my expectations were set pretty high.

All in all, it is a nice place with a nice atmosphere. Good service. Would definitely recommend dropping by and having some drinks. Personally, the food didn't...
