Randomly chose here for an evening drink; the staff and clientele were also british, colonial or aspiring. If you are in the minority and don't harbour a secret desire for the details of how Ed sent St Anton with his mates whilst their WAGs attempted a facial expression, then go elsewhere. Having been given a large choice of tables, we were told seconds after our order was served that we'd have to leave or move (upstairs) in half an hour. Their timing demanded cynicism, and left us feeling unwelcome and unwanted (pity us, poor skiing family). Still not sure if our faces really didn't fit or they were just disorganised - either way, not great. Lovely, cosy evening, with personal service. We used to visit this location when it was an Austrian cafe serving cakes and simple lunches; it was my mothers favourite place in the resort, so we visited this evening with curiosity. It was really fab - we had an element of nostalgia recognising where we used to sit as a family, but it was a vastly improved experience. Great vibe, cocktails, food and really great service. Fabulously decorated and run restaurant and bar, excellent for apres ski drinks as well as dinner. Cosy lighting, candles, well presented food, and a great wine selection.

It is advisable to book a table for dinner - it was busy every time we visited, and we were unable to get a table a couple of times, however the staff will always try and squeeze you in and sometimes a seat at the bar is possible.
