Marco Polo Velden — Restaurant in Velden am Wörther See

Česká rezence: Bohužel nemůžu dát 5 hvězdiček, nedávno jsme navštívili tuhle restauraci s kamarádkou a první věc co mi vadila byl úzký průchod ke stolku, židli ani stůl neposunete a doslovně ty stolky vám dají že jsou fatfobic (byli jsme uvnitř)🤣 ale taková maličkost, přišel číšník a moc anglicky neuměl, objednali jsme si čistou vodu a druhou s citronem a tady se podržte, čistá voda ještě v pohodě, ale co sakra přinesli za citronovou vodu, to nebyl ani citron, nedalo se to ani spolknout, no prostě hrůza a málem jsem tam chcípla, ani led nám do toho nedal, no budiž, poté přinesl šunkovou pizzu, kterou byla velmi dobrá, ale přinesl nám to na podložce, kde krajite třeba ovoce, ani talíř nedal, pizzu nerozkrojili, takže jsme si ji museli rozkrojit sami, chuťově dobrá, ale mohli to trošku s tím rajčatovým protlakem zklidnit, celkově to bylo v klidu, ale opět bych se tu už nevrátila.

Unfortunately, I can’t give five stars. I recently visited this restaurant with a friend, and a few things left a bad impression. The first issue was the very narrow path between tables – the chairs and tables couldn’t be moved at all, which made the seating feel quite uncomfortable (especially if you need a bit more space). Honestly, it felt a bit fatphobic 😅 – but okay, let’s move on.

The waiter who served us didn’t speak much English. We ordered one plain water and one with lemon – and here’s where it got strange. The plain water was fine, but the "lemon water" was… not lemon. I don’t even know what it was, but it was honestly undrinkable. No ice either. It was just awful – I nearly choked.

Next came the ham pizza, which, to be fair, tasted very good. But they served it on a wooden board like the kind you'd use to cut fruit – not even a plate. It wasn’t sliced either, so we had to cut it ourselves. The taste was nice overall, although they went a bit overboard with the tomato sauce.

Every detail, from the lighting to the decor, added to the charm. The service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive.

The food was simply outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, rich flavors. From appetizers to dessert, the quality and creativity were evident.
