Strandclub Velden — Restaurant in Velden am Wörther See

Unfortunately the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant in my life. I was traveling with my family that day through several countries and had driven about 1200km. This restaurant had a great welcome, the kids had ice cream and we found a table on the patio in the corner right by the water. We had some drinks and coffee after such a long journey and were deciding what to eat. We flipped through the menu and decided what to have. It took us a bit of time and then suddenly without any further questions from the staff, someone put a sign on our table saying this table was booked in 30mins. What? Really? The restaurant had a lot more seats and it was half empty. That was like, get out? I couldn't react to that and just called the wait staff and asked to pay. And the cherry on top, the empress arrived with a terminal and demanded a tip. I told her I wasn't going to give her anything for kicking us out. I only give 2 stars because of the staff lack of profesionalism, attitude and way of handling clients orders on a hand and animal behavior of some local clients - destroyed atmosphere, on the other hand. Overall food is great. Austrian and German noisy clients combined with not give a *it attitude of the location staff conducted to a disturbance of the peace of mind near the lake and enjoyment of the view and food for the rest of the clients. When you pay as a client you pay for a package: location, view, food, services - it seems some business...

Wij zijn hier gekomen met het idee om even lekker te rusten en af te koelen van het warme weer. We zagen een lekkere smoothie op het bord buiten dus gingen we naar binnen. Eenmaal zaten we en het heeft wel 15-20 minuten geduurd voordat we werden geholpen/aangesproken door een van de serveerders. De serveerder met de blonde lange staart die ons “hielp” heeft eerst 15 minuten staan praten met een van de andere gasten terwijl wij aan het wachten waren. Daarna hebben we één smoothie om te delen besteld en werden we raar aangekeken alsof het te weinig was. Na 5 minuten kregen we al snel de smoothie en die was erg lekker verfrissend. Eenmaal dat we die op hadden kwam de vrouw met de blonde staart weer naar ons toe om te vragen of we nog iets wilden hebben. We moesten onze scooter gaan halen dus we hebben nee gezegd en gevraagd of we kunnen betalen. Prima, zij kwam met haar apparaatje en begon gelijk over tips; je kan kiezen tussen 5, 10 en nog meer percentages zei ze. We klikten op “geen tip” want we hebben langer als 15 minuten moeten wachten op hulp en we hadden maar één smoothie. Ze keek enorm chagrijnig en geirriteerd en zei erbij “or nothing” met een boze stem. Wij waren enorm verbaasd en begrepen niet dat zij zich zo leuk kan voor doen en als je dan geen tip geeft je gelijk geen vriendelijke service meer krijgt.
