When we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by a man we like to call Mr. McDonald’s (you’ll soon see why he earned that nickname). He asked how many people were in our group, and we told him nine. Without much effort, he quickly set up a table for us, which only involved sliding one table to the side. It took him no more than 30 seconds.
The restaurant was completely empty, so it’s not like he was busy with other customers. After thinking about it for a moment, we decided we weren’t going to eat there and wanted to try something new instead. We politely let him know we were leaving.
That’s when things went downhill. He suddenly got angry and started yelling at my mom. “WOW, I JUST SET THIS UP FOR YOU, AND NOW YOU’RE LEAVING?” he shouted, even though the “setup” had taken almost no time at all. His reaction seemed way over the top.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, he pointed at the McDonald’s across the street and said, “Oh, so you’re going to eat at McDonald’s instead? Go on, go there!” His tone was sarcastic and rude, and it caught all of us off guard. Then, he started muttering angrily in his own language, clearly talking about us in a harsh and disrespectful way.
The whole situation was unnecessary and made us feel uncomfortable, and you reading this should save your self from this trouble by staying away from this restaurant, as it is not...
Read moreI have been living abroad for several years and , as an Italian, I hardly found a place I could define "authentic", I found this place for a coincidence and I am really happy for that, the place is not only faithful to an Italian restaurant but even more it is to the Pugliese regional gastronomico culture with a twist of fine dining/gourmet touch, we had burrata and It was above the average quality one usually find abroad, we have been welcomed with taralli pugliesi and olives, bread served on the side of the burrata freshly baked, then I had a frisella, which in Puglia is a very humble and traditional meal like a lot of traditional food in Italy, no fancy stuff to be clear, the frisella was elevated to an almost gourmet dish, the potato puree was tasty and creamy, the octopus fresh and delightful and the fine slices of lemon gave the frisella a superb kick, my gf had risotto with homemade basil sauce (like pesto) burrata and peperone crusco and It was amazing and properly Al dente, of you pass by this place...
Read moreDisappointing Experience at A’Frisella Vienna I recently dined at A’Frisella Vienna, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Firstly, we waited an hour and a half for our food to arrive, which is simply unacceptable. It’s one thing to be busy, but to have to wait that long for a meal is frustrating, especially when we noticed other tables receiving their orders promptly. When the food finally arrived, it didn’t meet our expectations. It was lukewarm and lacked the quality we had hoped for based on the menu descriptions. Combining late service with subpar food is a recipe for disappointment. Additionally, the staff seemed overwhelmed and not attentive, which contributed to the overall negative experience. We had to flag someone down just to get our drinks refilled. Overall, I left A’Frisella Vienna feeling let down. I had high hopes for a pleasant meal, but the delays and unsatisfactory food made it a night to forget. I won’t be returning anytime soon and cannot recommend it based on...
