Bäckerei Café Felzl — Restaurant in Vienna

Quality of the food has diminished significantly in recent months, it seems quality control has been lacking. The croissants are frequently slightly burned, I have had some pastries sold to me that were stale already, so must have been at least a day old. The goat cheese balls included with one of the breakfast sets have diminished in size a lot, to the point where the total amount of cheese is easily half of what it used to be.

Since I personally know someone who used to work there and have been a customer for years I know for a fact that something like that wouldn’t have been possible before.

On top of that, their favourite product, the triangular shaped dinkel bread, was discontinued a while ago and replaced with some boring, bland run of the mill bread.

Coffee was always bad, so nothing has changed there.

My favorite cafe while studying in Vienna. I went here almost every day. The pastries are amazing and the coffee/espresso very good. Staff are very kind and they speak English well enough. Wifi available though I never used it. Wish they filled up their take-away cups to the top, my coffee was always a bit under-filled in my opinion but overall I love this place. I will miss it...

This is a great space with delicious food!! I love that they are open early and have a great variety of food!
