Gundis Café & Restaurant — Restaurant in Vienna

Gundis restaurant is the best restaurant in Vienna without a doubt :) We stay in Vienna for 3 weeks and tried food at many places but this one is out of this world. A lot of tasty dishes (many vegetarian options, which were amazing!!!), portions are huge! Prices are very low compared to amount of food and deliciousness! And special thanks to amazing, very kind and polite waitress named Vivienne. She is gorgeous 😍 every time we saw her at restaurant we feel that this evening is gonna be amazing! Mrs Vivienne thank you for your attitude! I wish I have only that kind of experience all over the world like in this place! And also I have to thank to Cook, who is making this magic at the kitchen! I'm going to come back there tomorrow as yesterday, and day before yesterday and day before before yesterday. ..:D I can sincerely recommend this place...

I hate to do this, being Kurdish myself, me and my mom were really looking forward to some authentic Kurdish food, and specifically avoided any “Turkish” named places and opted for Gundi’s, but brother, the chicken kebabs and the eggplant with köfte were both undercooked, especially the köfte which was literally pink in the middle, and I was told it was because of the seasoning. I’ve had many köfte myself over the years, both cooked at home and at restaurants, and I’ve never seen a seasoning turning the center of the köfte red. We sent it back and explained, and when we got our food back it was honestly worse than what it was initially. It looked like it was put it in the microwave.

The appetizer plate was amazing, and so was the bread. Unfortunately that is all the good...

An overrated place.

The croissant did not hold its shape did not look like a croissant at all. And did not taste like croissants either.

The omelet was brought cold. Both to me and my husband. What could be worse than a greasy overcooked cold omelet?

There were 4 pancakes on the menu, only two were brought.

The coffee was burnt.

The waiter doesn't want to hear our comments. But I want to remind you that we pay for this food and have the right to say our opinion.

We tried to tell our comments to the waiter, but he rudely asked us to leave him alone. He advised us to leave a review on the Internet so that the boss would see it. That's...
