BAO BAR 1020 — Restaurant in Vienna

I was not expecting the bao to be this tasty!!! Wow! The pulled pork had a nice smoky flavor and the fried chicken was nice and crunchy to pair with the pickled cabbage and soft sweet bao bread. The sweet potato fries were also quite tasty, perfectly soft not over cooked and paired perfectly with the kimchi ketchup. The price is not too bad either especially for Vienna! Two bao, fries and a drink is a good combo, but if I had not shared my fries I probably would have saved one of the baos and half the fries for another meal because the portion size was quite large!

The venue was also quite nice and chill with plenty of tables and chairs if you want to have a nice dinner or even come and sit for some computer work....

Well😌, this is kind of unique⭐️ “fast food”🍔🍟 experience! We have visited BAO BAR 1020 two times during my business trip👔 in Vienna🏙. For the first time we have been little unsure🤨 about our choice as the bar was completely empty👻 and the service didn’t look very happy (the guys are more kind of serious faces😎), but the first impression has been literally crushed👊🏻 by the taste🤤 and quality👌🏻 of served food🥙🍟! Gosh💚! The BAOs are so soft and smooth like a clouds☁️ and the ingredients in it - fresh🥬 and tasty🥒! Prices💸 are reasonable in comparison with received quality☝🏻. We have visited the bar one more time🍻 during the stay and we have tried also their bowls🥗 and these were even better🔥! All...

Hit and miss… everything looks good and elements are delicious but altogether, lacking something. Pork belly bao didn’t have enough (or any) sauce, kimchi was spicy but no punch/fermentation. Probably because it’s vegan and served fresh so the punch is missing. Crispy chicken is very nice and crispy but batter could have more flavour and kimchi made the bun soggy very quickly (ate at the location). The idea of the sweet potato kimchi fries is very good and fries itself and the crunch on them, nice. Service is fast and friendly. Would give it another go and Hope some elements were...
