The iconic Riesenrad, built in 1897, is one of Vienna's most famous tourist attractions. This Giant Ferris Wheel is part of the Wurstelprater, a large permanent fairground open all year round.

The Wurstelprater has a very varied and extensive range of attractions and restaurants. As a result, both young and old can have a great time here, but I did get the feeling that quantity takes precedence over quality. In fact, most of the attractions are rather dated. Fortunately, the permanent attractions are complemented by some temporary guests during the high season. In the summer of 2025, for example, the phenomenal Olympia Looping (world's largest transportable roller coaster) or the Dämonium (world's largest mobile ghost train) are making their rounds in the Wurstelprater.

Another disadvantage of the Wurstelprater is that all the attractions have different operators. As a result, each attraction has different opening hours and, most importantly, it is impossible to buy a wristband that gives you unlimited access to the attractions. So, like at any fair, you have to buy a ticket for each attraction separately, which can make the Wurstelprater an expensive day out. Most of the attractions cost between €3.00 and €6.00 per person per ride, but for example the Olympia Looping costs €12.50 and a ride on the Giant Ferris Wheel costs €14.50.

Finally, I missed the distinctive and energetic atmosphere of the big fairs back home. The operator drives the ride, but there is no interaction with the riders. What a shame! But maybe I just visited the Wurstelprater on the wrong day, as the number of visitors was rather limited due to the cold temperatures.

In conclusion, the Wurstelprater is a nice outing during a visit to Vienna, but this park can by no means compete with the cosy and high-quality city parks in Scandinavia. Finally, the Wurstelprater is easily accessible by public transport. In fact, the important Praterstern junction, where local trains and the U1 and U2 underground lines stop, is just...

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting the Prater amusement park with my family, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience for me and my family. Spanning an impressive 300,000 m², this park beautifully combines historic charm with modern excitement - something for everyone and all ages.

One of the highlights of my visit was the Giant Ferris Wheel and the Prater Turm. The views from the top were simply breathtaking, offering a unique perspective of the city. It felt like I was floating above Vienna, soaking in its beauty from a bird's-eye view.

The park offers a wonderful mix of attractions and rides that shook, rattled, or tossed you into the air. Each ride was a delightful surprise, providing a perfect blend of excitement and fun. The variety ensured that there was never a dull moment, and I found myself eagerly moving from one attraction to the next.

The Prater is not just about thrilling rides, though. I also found myself laughing, screaming, and occasionally getting startled by the many amusements scattered throughout the park. Whether it was the haunted houses or the fun houses, each experience was designed to evoke a strong reaction and keep me and my family thoroughly entertained.

Overall, my day at the Prater was filled with laughter, excitement, and wonderful memories. Whether you're looking to be amused, astonished, or even intentionally lost in a sea of fun, the Prater has something for everyone. I highly recommend and look forward to returning here...

It's okay.. We have now arrived at 4pm and the weather is sunny, and the sun is frankly hot and somewhat annoying.

I do not advise anyone to come on a weekend (one Saturday), except someone who likes noise and disturbance, because you will wait at each game for approximately 5 to 10 minutes for some games, not all..

The parking lots were full and I had to stop in the parking lot of a hotel close to the hotel (one otel), very close to the games. I stopped for about two hours, for 9 euros. You take a parking card when you are leaving the games and pay the amount at the reception.

The value of the games is approximately 4-6 euros, and children’s games are limited There is an Ali Baba restaurant and halal shawarma inside, but I did not try it

Who asks why a star was given? To deal with the son of a ** who plays bumper car games He has bad morals and is a thief. The game cost 4 euros and we were 2 adults and a child.. So the count is 12? He gave me two cards! I told him no, we are three, and he returned a card and gave me only one! then give me another cards . Because he did not tell me that the child is free with his mother He shouted and said, “The child rides with his mother for free.” I said, “Why didn’t you say that and tell me from the beginning?”

I gave him 15 euros and he supposedly returned 7 euros to me, including a free child! But he returned me only 2 euros!! he refuse to give me remain money !

And I say that you say a child is free, my total is 8 so u have to give 7€ back !

He started screaming and choking at the top of his voice even all people were watching

, and he pretended that he did not know English, and he was just speaking to me in English!

I swear it bothered me a lot because of it, and it's not a matter of money, but don't deceive me!

I tried to talk to the second employee and they smulated they were stupid. I asked about the administration about how they would improve their situation, listening to...
