Café Falk — Restaurant in Vienna

I was a victim of RACISM and xenophobia at Café Falk this week. On Monday, February 17, at 12:00, my friend and I wanted to try the cappuccino at this classic place. As soon as we walked through the door, the bearded waiter behind the bar, without greeting us, just looked us up and down with a look of contempt and asked what we were doing there.

I asked if we could have something there, and he replied in an unfriendly tone that it was only for takeout, despite the fact that there were available tables and chairs. The interaction was very brief because the waiter didn’t allow us to sit down, so my friend and I just decided to leave. It made us feel really bad.

Honestly, you don’t expect that in the middle of the day, when all you want is to have a coffee and enjoy a quiet moment with your company, something like this would happen. It’s simply unpleasant that some people judge you based on your skin color or race…...

ONE OF THE MOST RACIST PLACES I HAVE EVER SEEN....

The two ladies inside ( one young the other one oldest & the waiter the BALDNESS)..... THE TWO LADIES NOT SURE FOR BOTH OF THEM BUT ONE WAS SMOKING INSIDE THE BAR. When foreign come in GREECE we always respect them and we always speak in the language who can understand each other. But to me and my friend we went there for a coffee but they began to speak only in German language and when we asked for English they were VERY AGGRESSIVE, and they said NAIN COFFEE OUT OUT NO MUSLIM INSIDE OUT OUT. Vor ein paar Tagen war ich zur Mittagszeit im Lokal, eigentlich komme ich öfter um hin und wieder zu Speisen oder um zu entspannen und ab zu schalten. Der vormittags/mittags kellner weiß, dass ich meistens nach meiner Bestellung eine Zigarette rauchen gehe! An diesem Tag bekam ich noch einen wichtigen Anruf dazu. Die unsymphatische schankdame brüllt mich als ich zurück komme an und meint ich brauch das mineral nicht bezahlen das Essen hat sie weggeräumt ! Ich entschuldigte mich und erklärte die Situation! Sie brüllte nochmal und meinte " bei mir nicht mehr" Ich habe selbst in der Gastro gearbeitet und weiß dass es stressig sein kann und habe bis zu einem gewissen Grad verständniss Aber das war ein NoGo! So bin ich noch nie als GAST behandelt worden! Und meine Gäste hätte ich so auch niemals behandelt ! Die Gastro lebt von Gästen! Ohne Gäste keine Gastro! Am Abend war ich wieder da eigentlich weil ich es schade finde ! Ein tolles Ambiente wird von Mitarbeitern die mit ihrem Job unzufrieden sind zerstört! Bin ich nicht stressressistent darf ich nicht in die Gastro! Bis dato war ich eben weil ich bereits selbst in der gastro gearbeitet habe einfühlsam und verständnisvoll! Die Kellnerin im abenddienst schmeißt alles alleine egal wie voll es ist und bewahrt ruhe und ist zuvorkommend wie es sich gehört ! Ein überhebliches Personal ist ungut ! Respekt sollte man schon haben! TRAURIG wenn der Gast ruhe bewahrt und der Gastgeber aus der Haut fährt !Noch dazu hatte ich nach dem Verlassen kopfschmerzen ! Dass es unter Mitarbeiter mal lauter wird weil es rasch gehen muss verständlich! Aber einem Gast Kopfschmerzen verpassen!? Schlechte Laune am Gast auslassen!? So kann man auch Gäste...
