A great place to enjoy genuine Austrian soul food made from the best ingredients.
Classics such as Grießnockerlsuppe Blunzn, Backhendl, Marillenpalatschinken are on offer.
The wine list is well selected, not too large but very well stocked and fairly priced. With a bit of luck, you can even enjoy 1998 Riesling by the glass for little money.
No wonder the Café Florianihof is so well run: The team behind it is Simon Schubert and Julian Lechner - the hosts of the great Reznicek.
Always worth a visit! Especially because of the very hospitable opening hours.

It's been some months now, since I was there, and it seems to have undergone some changes, and not for the better. The staff was gruff, the soup, although good, was definitely served in a smaller bowl resulting in a smaller portion and the cost was €4, 50. Imagine a s"starter" of a slice of beetroot chopped in pieces (!) and a slice of blood orange cut in half (!)... supposed to be walnuts, non existent (!) 50 cents worth of food.....for 9 Euros....Seriously?
