DerMann, der verwöhnt — Restaurant in Vienna

The people are super friendly. However I tried two days two different snacks. The first day a Olive bread sandwich. The second day a Cinnamon roll. Both can be defined in one word: Fat. I am sorry to tell this but the Olive bread was dry and felt not very fresh. The ham inside was 50% meat 50% fat. The next day I decided to try the sweet stuff. I mean, they have over 4.6 stars in Google, maybe their strong are the sweet pastries. Nope. I could not eat more than 1/4. I could not eat it. The main problem was the amount of fat in the pastry. Croissant like, it had the taste of cinnamon and sweet in a good balance but the amount of fat used was way too much. If you like fatty food, that is your place. Not mine. I am sad because it was my only option for a nice breakfast while visiting scientists in the Vienna Biocenter. The tea was good... Update: The company has contacted me to know about the dates. I was there on the 1st and 2nd of September, both times around 8:00 am. I am writing the information here since I do not wish to give the company my e-mail but I want to help them improve their products. Croissants, coffee, many other items to choose from. Pricing ok I guess from a US traveler perspective. Not a lot of space to sit. May be 5-6 seats total. So we had to wait for tables to open up. This was a Friday morning in January 2025. It was all ok except that lady on the right side where pickup area is. She seemed to not care about her customers. Never a smile on her face. It destroyed my whole experience in otherwise perfect Austria vacation. To make it worse, I made a mistake of asking her for milk for my tea. She got upset and instead of giving me tiny bit of milk, she wanted me to buy a full 1/4 liter of milk. Not sure if this is store policy or just her giving attitude.
