We were there on a Saturday and really surprised about what we found. The place and ambience is nothing like the professional pictures put online by the owner, which I would describe as outright misleading. To be clear, this is actually the lobby of a big accommodation complex, with people constantly hushing in and out. It feels more like a train station than a café. To be more, we were told that the place is actually primarily thought of as a hangout for residents in the complex. When they are open (which the day we went there they were not because the waiter called in sick - do they have only one?), they are happy to also serve outside customers, but that is not this place's primary purpose. On top of it all, the service staff at the front desk were very rude - almost hostile - in explaining this to us. Overall, I would not consider this place open to the public and - in this sense - also think it should not be listed in Google Maps at all. Go there at your own risk, but do not say you have not been warned (you can also check out the other low-rated reviews). P.S.: In reaction to the owner's answer below, let me point out that (s)he is not disputing that this is a residential lobby and the fact that residents constantly move in and out of the building as at a train station. Hence, it is not listed correctly on Google Maps and should not pose as a real café. What if every hotel/hostel lobby was listed on Google Maps as a café!? This place is perfectly fine as a lobby and, if I lived in that building, I can totally see how I would be thrilled about the opportunity to have a quick coffee (I guess this is also where the many raving reviews come from). But just look at the updates (see screenshot) and you'll see that their target group are clearly their *residents*. That is perfectly fine! As a visitor who wants coffee in a nice café, this place is just about the worst choices you could make in Vienna.

My family and I are visiting from USA (near Indianapolis Indiana🏁)…. Our daughter lives in District building 3, and we have been here for 10 days to see her wonderful new life in Vienna ❤️….SUCH a beautiful city!!! We love the District Coffee area in the “EG” of the building…. Such a great, cheery, bright & welcoming feel! The food (coffee & croissants) are a wonderful, light start before attacking the day😉👍. Everyone was helpful, but Adrianna was a site to behold! She is in one of the pictures, which was like trying to catch a beautiful hummingbird as it flits, and darts, and speeds to its next place to be!!!💫….💥….🐝🌻…. She was so helpful & kind❤️… I just wanted to call attention to her specifically, since just watching her work (which is a BLURRRR of motion) is a sight to behold. Great JOB! Wonderful experience!! Thank you so much for helping make our short time here a relaxing place to LAUNCH from every morning ☺️🙏❤️ ☕️🥐……..🚀

My girlfriend and I decided to go to some coffee, not in the center, because we wanted something more modern, and not old Viennese cafes or chain places. We chose District Cafe, the first location is not exactly in a good location for ordinary people who do not work or live there. It is quite difficult to get there, especially for the first time. But we came there anyway, despite the weather, because from the photos and reviews, the place seemed interesting. After we went inside, I saw a fairly interesting and modern interior, the only plus. Having sat down at the table, I wanted to order myself a cappuccino, as it turned out, the bar was closed, this was not indicated anywhere. When asked why, I did not receive a clear answer. Thank you for wasting my time)))

District Coffees is a hidden gem for coffee enthusiasts seeking a unique and memorable coffee experience. Tucked away in a charming district, this cozy coffee shop combines a warm ambiance, expertly crafted brews, and friendly service to create a haven for caffeine aficionados.

Upon entering District Coffees, I was immediately struck by the inviting atmosphere. The minimalist decor, coupled with tasteful touches of local artwork, created a comfortable and relaxed setting. The warm lighting and comfortable seating options made it an ideal spot to unwind, catch up with friends, or dive into a good book.

The baristas demonstrated a true passion for their craft, carefully sourcing beans from renowned coffee regions and employing various brewing methods to showcase the unique flavors and profiles of each blend. Whether it was a velvety espresso, a perfectly poured latte, or a delicate pour-over, each cup was a testament to their expertise and commitment to excellence.
