Worst experience with the staff ever. The waiter who took our order was totally inappropriate and rude. Without asking if he may do recommendations, he started to replace things we were about to order with something else he believed is better for us. In my case he replaced the wine (don't think that he was trying to match the wine with the dish, because he didn't know yet what I wanted to order). To someone else, he was about to replace the tuna steak with branzino (two totally different tastes). My question is how can one know what I want, if it only saw me once? Especially when it comes to wine.. Then, because he "couldn't catch me" (?), he started calling me "serious guy". It is a pitty, these things happen, especially in mid-high rated places. Otherwise the food was good, but if you end up with such waiter on your side, the evening is ruined and you don't feel like going for a second time there again. If you have the "chance" to be approached by a curly, slavic-accent waiter, who knows everything and...
Read moreGreat food and great waiter service for the last 3 years as we have been their loyal guests. Yesterday I wanted to make a reservation via phone for 4 on surname Siklic. Mr. Paul asked additionally my name, I said "You can write Siklic, please". He rudely repeated "Your name!?" I said "I still don't know will I come, but my husband will. You can please make a reservation on Ronald Siklic" - He then YELLED " Your name!?" I said "For you I am Mrs. Siklic" He - hang up the phone! I called again and made a reservation. Tonight we came to restaurant at 20:00h and waited aside for 15min, as we needed to wait our table to be available, which would not be a problem at all, if the manager Paul welcomed us with smile or "Good evening, welcome" or if he would say after 15' "I apologize for waiting". Nothing. Maybe our non-Austrian surname was an issue. Because of that evident rudeness of their manager we will re-think will we ever come there again or recommend them to...
Read moreEven though you can find really good pizza in Vienna, this restaurant has by far the best pizza. The service was really bad for our bad luck.. they had many orders to be delivered so they made those pizzas first which meant we had to wait for three pizzas for 55 minutes. I'm sorry but who on earth makes customers wait for 55 minutes for three pizzas?! This was utterly unacceptable so we were very angry and frustrated. However, they offered us free profiteroles as an apology which tasted ok. I strongly believe that customers at the restaurant should have priority in terms of receiving their food compared to those ordering by phone. I hope to go back to this restaurant again. Fingers crossed the service will be much better...
