After a long, determined walk to the shop, I instantly knew I was in for a treat when I saw three women standing outside waiting—it’s always a good sign! Stepping inside, the place was buzzing with locals who were relaxed and enjoying their meals.
I ordered the famous Wiener Schnitzel with a potato salad on the side. Looking back, I’m grateful I didn’t order anything else, because just the fried pork cutlet and the salad filled me up completely. The fried pork cutlet (Wiener Schnitzel) was absolutely outstanding—crisp on the outside, yet soft and tender inside. Each bite was delicious, and everything came together perfectly. I seriously FREAKING LOVE IT!
However, the potato salad here wasn’t really to my taste—it had a kind of "lamb-by" flavor that didn’t appeal to me as much, so I didn’t enjoy it as much as I have at other places.
I paid only 12.9 for this satisfying meal. Both the portion size and quality were excellent, making it a fantastic value for such a delicious experience. If you're a fan of crispy, tender pork cutlets, you need to try the Wiener Schnitzel here. Just come hungry and maybe skip the potato salad if you share my taste. Highly...
Read moreEven though after this meal I can confirm that I don't like Austrian savory dishes but this restaurant is on point. The food has a large portion as you can see, I recommend each person only order 1 dish 😄. The Schnitzel is officially okay (I have to say I still prefer Tonkatsu ☺️), the Zwiebelrostbraten which i was highly look forward to try is quite salty maybe they should put some cucumber with it and I don't like the sauce. Having said that I don't think the restaurant is bad just Austrian savory dishes aren't my taste like the Kaiserschmarrn is beautifully done, I almost die in heart attacks that day of eating the whole dish 😄. It's a bit crunchy outside and very soft inside, it's great with their kinda jam as well 👍 highly recommended this dish. Genuinely a very nice restaurant, not very expensive but the food is...
Read moreTraditional Viennese "Gasthaus" with a twist: part of the menu is greek dishes. Everything we tried was delicious, the service was quick and corteous and we really enjoyed the traditional flair, without any unnecessary screens, music or anything to distract from simply good food and conversation. The place seems to be very popular with the locals, and it was always packed at the peak meal times. Bring cash (no credit cards accepted, and the nearest ATM is a few blocks away). Good selection of drinks, and beer, and a very reasonably priced lunch menu at about $10 with soup and one very generous dish. Highly recommended: the Kaiserschmarrn. They were fluffy and fresh with an excellent...
