Adriano — Restaurant in Vienna

The place is crowded, there are always people coming and leaving. That was a good first impression. But…the lady who was serving us wasn’t so polite, she found it pretty strange that we wanted to order 2 pizzas for us - 3 women, and tried to make us order more. When she found out that we’re from the Balkans, she suddenly became nice and friendly. Pay attention to the ingredients of the pizzas. We ordered a simple capricciosa and received a pizza with sardines, never heard of that type of capricciosa. The other pizza we ordered was really tasty - with mozzarella, basil, tomatoes and tomato sauce. That one I really recommend. The prices of are fine. About 8-10e for a pizza. One pizza is practically enough for 2 people. Overall, not a bad place...

Great food, good portion sizes and amazing service. Thank you! Later edit: I feel I have not done enough justice to this restaurant with my review. I have come back here again and again. In the meantime it remains one of the few places in Vienna with great tasting food, portion sizes that make me satisfied and when the bill comes I don't have to worry that soon I will be selling one of my kidneys 😄 I enjoyed everything I tasted from the menu...pasta, lasagna, pizza, chicken medallions, everything delicious. Bestelle seit etlichen Jahren bei Adriano, immer absolut top und zufrieden, siehe auch meine "alte" Rezession unten... diesmal aber Kritik, da bisher keine Reaktion bzw. hat der Kellner meine Kritik scheinbar nicht wirklich ernst genommen! Abends Pizza Fantasia und Calzone bestellt, schon hungrig nach langer Heimreise... Pizza abgeholt und leider verbrannt an allen Ecken und Enden, am nächsten Tag reklamiert bzw. auch Fotos per E-Mail zukommen lassen, bisher keine Reaktion, was leider sehr enttäuschend ist als langjähriger Gast... Fotos anbei!

Scheinbar hat der Pizzabäcker seinen Holzofen nicht ganz im Griff...

Wer noch echten Holzofengeschmack und die doch eher römische Pizza mag, ist dort super aufgehoben. 🍕 Knuspriger Rand und dünner Boden mit der richtigen Menge an Belag, wer dann auch noch etwas extra Pepp haben möchte kann sich das hausgemachte Knoblauch- 🧄 und Chiliöl 🌶️ dazunehmen. Egal ob jetzt Pizza, Pasta, Fleisch- oder Fischgerichte, man findet immer etwas für den eigenen Geschmack und alles wird wirklich mit Hingabe zubereitet. Keine Speise ist "überladen", es wird wie es die traditionelle italienische Küche immer schon gezeigt hat, mit wenigen, dafür aber hochwertigen Zutaten ein kulinarischer und purer Genuß gezaubert. 🥗🍝 Die Kalmare und Scampi sind wie frisch am Hafen in der Adria, da überkommt mich jedes Mal das Fernweh...🏖️ Es wird nur sehr wenige Besucher geben die dort nicht die gewisse Wohlfühlatmosphäre erleben und satt und zufrieden wieder nach Hause gehen.

Ich kann wirklich jeden einen Besuch in der Pizzeria Adriano...
