Disrespect.
We came on 3 pm on Friday, theoretically during opening hours and the museum was closed without any information. The museum is open in the very tight schedule between 2pm-6pm which led us to plan our day really carefully to be able to visit it. Although we came during opening hours, the museum was closed.
This is really disrespectful. As we are visitors from Poland which suffers hard from anti-abortion regulations, we really wanted to see the history of pro-choice movement. The disrespect of the museum is just miserable.
My feminist girlfriend was really frustrated.

Read moreThe museum is all about the subject in its name. The museum can be difficult to find as there’s only a small plaque by the door. The museum consists of two rooms of exhibits. All the exhibit descriptions as in German, but the staff will happily give out audio guides that has English. I thought the audio guide and exhibits were excellent, explaining how difficult life was in the days before people could easily control their reproductive health, and how much life has improved for people since.

Read moreThis museum was a great way to spend an afternoon in Vienna, and is located right near Westbahnhof station. There was an excellent, very candid audioguide in English. Thorough historical background and an excellent collection of archival items which really brought the subjects to life.
