Nice cafe just off Vienna’s main shopping street Coffee was nice (8/10) Really liked the interior of the cafe and they had a great amount of outdoor seating also. Losing one star for 2 reason • Service felt a a little bit rushed even through the server wasn’t busy. • I was charged €1 as a deposit for a reusable plastic cup that will be refunded when I return it. This feels like just a way to get quick money or try and guarantee return custom. Sustainably sourced single use coffee cups can be 100% environmentally friendly and are way more convenient for the customer. Cappuccino to go cost €3.90 (which includes the €1 deposit)

The baristas take their job seriously and it shows. Respect. I don’t take photos of food and drink but I was moved to do it the other day. Their black (and milky coffee) ties for best in Vienna with Balthazar’s. Don’t just take my word for it. Try it after trying every other cafe — including the old establishment ones — within the Inner Gürtel and you’ll know what I mean. The service is as you would expect from people who take pride in what they do, and like to give people the best of what they’ve got. It’s such a pleasant start to the day that I will take two U-lines just for my coffee run.

As a coffee lover, I can say that the decaf coffee with oat doesn’t taste very good here. And there are much better places in the neighborhood ☕️ for that. Also, inside it was very loud because of the coffee machine and barista rashly cleaning and sorting all the glasses and coffee cups. And outside the tables were not cleaned so we had to do it ourselves

⚠️This is essentially a warning for remote workers to be careful: Well I’m from Panama and I’m just traveling but working remote on EST time, apparently this coffee shop have like many in Viena an schedule for laptops (which means you are not allowed to use your laptop freely in this shop until certain hours) I didn’t knew and I asked for a coffee and have to go to another place and when I take the takeout I have to pay 1€ more to go. So if you are lost tourist as me that needs to work a bit at evening or like having a quick meeting online (as I was needed) maybe is not the best one to go. (is crazy but you can work more cheaper from a closer bar that is in the same street).

Also since the coffee is also a thing on my country coffee was ok...

Was quite excited to try this coffee shop given its high rating. We ordered two oat milk cappuccinos which were not up to standard. The oat had an unpleasant strong taste which left a a lingering aftertaste which 2 hours later is still present. The cappuccinos were also served lukewarm in small cups by waitresses with zero personality despite having many members off staff who could have assisted carrying the cups outside they were more concerned with standing around and chatting amongst themselves. This shop brings shame upon Vienna a city renowned for its coffee. I must also note the outdoor seating might have been far better if the lady next to us hadn't been puffing smoke like a dragon over...

First let's talk about the coffee, because it's the reason to come to a Cafe. The coffee is really some of the best in Vienna. They have multiple bean choices for espresso and it's really worth trying, even if you don't typically like espresso. The beans they have for sale are also really quite something.

The service is good. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable as long as you know how to ask for help.

I see a few complaints about the laptop policy, which I can understand but I don't think it should distract from the score. They don't allow laptops on weekends but it's their choice and they explain the reasons well. The coffee is...
