We came here as a bigger group of 6 people and I chose this place due to the amazing reviews. Most of us had the volcano chicken as a starter. It was delicious and everyone loved it. BUT: everyone including the ones that love to eat spicy said, that it really had a punch to it. I loved it but my entire mouth was burning for a while afterwards. Still: can’t wait to eat it again LOL Then I had the bulgogi which came as a set consisting of a miso soup, rice and condiments. It was excellent and I would also eat this again without a second thought. 2 of my friends had it as well but despite liking it, didn’t love it as much as I did. One friend ordered another dish where you can replace the seafood with bulgogi + an egg and it almost looked like he got more meat that the actual bulgogi orders. Another friend had the fried Korean chicken in style of garlic parmesan and it was good but a bit dry due to its nature of coming without sauce. Likely better to try the variant with the sweet chilly sauce. But anyway: this has become my new must go restaurant in Vienna and I can’t wait to try all the other amazing sounding options soon!

Modern Korean serves really tasty food (and drinks) and is modern rather than authentic (cutlery and plating); it's a little on the pricey side but in my opinion well worth it for the flavour experience. 🌟 I recommend trying the Volcano Chicken Pops if you can eat spicy (🌶🌶🌶). It's crispy, sticky, sweet and it gets hotter which each piece. The atmosphere IN the restaurant is great - with unique log paneling and an open kitchen. The seating outside, where we were seated, is a little lackluster. ❗ The service was very friendly and helpful towards our requests, but one of our main dishes was forgotten, all cutlery was available at the table except spoons (which are served with the dish) and the staff was a little bit forgetful/clumsy at times.

Since this Korean restaurant is located slightly outside of Vienna's city centre, making it a less ideal spot for tourists, but it was definitely worth the visit for us. We were thrilled to find a Korean restaurant in Vienna, especially since there are no decent options in where we live. Despite hearing that the owner/chef wasn't Korean, we were pleasantly surprised by how authentic the dishes were. We would estimate that they were about 85% - 90% similar to what we used to eat in Korea. However, the restaurant was quite busy, and it seemed like there weren't enough waiters to accommodate everyone. Nonetheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Korean cuisine in Vienna.

Honestly not sure how this place has 4.7*, we were definitively not impressed tonight. Let’s start with the food: none of the supposedly crispy dishes was actually crispy (an art I value highly in Korean cuisine is the ability to have crispy fried bits smothered in sauce and still crispy!!), instead everything was mushy and soggy. Moreover we were missing finesse in both the starters and main courses, the stir fried dishes could have easily come from a street side bistro…

To make matters worse the service was uninspired, the waitress always gave us a feeling we had to hurry up when we were ordering… lastly, the atmosphere was ok but not great: inside was super smokey and no one else was sitting in the large room and outside was an ordinary curbside garden without special flair....
