I’d recommend the Schweinsbraten which is a joint of pork roasted in a shallow broth. The pork was tender with balanced seasoning to bring out the flavour of the meat. It completes with kraut or sour cabbage and the traditional ball-like bread-based knödel or dumpling.
Also recommended is the chicken schnitzel with a generous cut of chicken breast, unlike the other touristy establishments with more breadcrumbs than meat.
