A Timeless Tibetan Treasure in Vienna
I've been a loyal customer of this exceptional Tibetan restaurant in the heart of Vienna's 1090 district for over 12 years, and it never fails to impress. The ambiance exudes a warm, inviting atmosphere that's only outshined by the delectable dishes and superb service.
Without a doubt, the highlight of their menu is the Tibet Mix dish (vegetarian or non-vegetarian), which I enthusiastically recommend to everyone. A heavenly combination of fresh vegetables, spices, and Momos (Tibetan meat or vegetable dumplings), this dish is a testament to the love and care that goes into every aspect of their food preparation.
The staff's super friendly and kind service makes every visit a truly memorable experience. They go above and beyond to ensure that each guest feels welcomed and appreciated, contributing to the restaurant's lasting charm.
As a regular customer for over a decade, I can confidently say that this Tibetan restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking to savor authentic cuisine, unparalleled hospitality, and a dining experience that will keep you coming back for years to come. Don't miss out on this timeless treasure in...
Read moreAn Exquisite Taste of Tibet and Cultural Connection in Vienna!
My dining experience at The Tibet Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. The flavors of Tibet brought back nostalgic memories of my time spent with the Tibetan community in India and Nepal. The ambiance, combined with authentic Tibetan cuisine, transported me back to the enriching moments I cherished in those regions.
What makes this place even more unique is the Tibetan cultural shop within the restaurant premises. It’s a delightful haven filled with various artifacts, books, and mementos representing Tibetan culture and Buddhism. It reminded me of the spiritual and insightful times spent among the Tibetan community and how I miss those soulful moments, especially with His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Kudos for not only delivering an exceptional culinary experience but also fostering a connection to Tibetan heritage and spirituality. A heartfelt thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for an unforgettable cultural and...

This restaurant was a complete disappointment.
The menu is completely overstated and promises much more than the kitchen delivers. The food itself was flat in flavour and excessively salty. Worst of all, my daughter developed a stomachache about half an hour after eating, which suggests issues beyond mere flavour.
The salad dressing was equally unappealing. Perhaps we should have just stuck with something simple like the Yogi Tea.
The ambiance is overdone and cluttered. This, combined with the rather grumpy service, made for an unpleasant dining experience overall.
For these reasons, we cannot recommend...
