The cake and coffee were super, super nice, ambiance is great and cosy too. Just one minus star because the guy behind the bar who seated us was very snooty - made us feel like we were disturbing him more than anything else although we had no other expectation than sitting down and having coffee, and the place wasn't even busy. But: the cake and coffee made up for it. I just think he needs to work on his attitude, everyone can have a bad day but don't let it out on customers who didn't ask for it.
Update, as we have since then been to nook many times (it's conveniently located and their cakes and coffee are ace). Unfortunately the barrista's attitude is still the same, but at least now we know why - he hates dogs, and we happen to have one who has separation anxiety, so he always has to come with us (that said, he is an examplary chill dog). So yeah, if you have a dog, be prepared to feel very unwanted and uncomfortable. Apart from that, we do still love their products, just a shame that we are made to feel uncomfortable for something that is out...
Read moreI discovered this coffee shop on Instagram and decided to give it a try — definitely worth it! We went without a reservation and luckily found one of the last two tables inside (there were also seats outside on the terrace, but it was too cold that day).
The design is really interesting — from the lighting to the walls, tables, and chairs, everything feels cozy and welcoming. Perfect spot to sit inside and enjoy.
Ordering is simple: you sit at your table, then go to the bar with your table number to place your order (it’s also clearly explained on the menu).
The food was excellent! I had the Muhammara Feta and my wife had the Avocado Feta — both were delicious, but the Muhammara Feta is especially worth recommending. For drinks, we tried a coffee and a matcha latte (the matcha was huge!) and they also offer alternatives like oat and soy milk.
The staff was friendly and helpful, which added to the good atmosphere. Overall, it’s a really nice place with great food, drinks, and vibes....
Read moreJust behind all of the tourist trap café's next to schönbrunn, a few streets further, you find this cafe. The neighborhood does not look great, but this cafe is a gem within. It was crowded inside, but we were lucky to find a place outside. You have to order inside at the counter and tell your table number, they will bring it to your table and you have to go and pay at the counter after finishing. Coffee is great, would recommend (cinnamon) matcha latte as well, served in a large cup. We had the muhammara toast and the avocado-houmous toast and they were great, they just had that little bit extra (delicious dressing, edible flowers, red cabbage) that made it an outstanding lunch. I think everything on the menu was vegetarian. Could've been a little bit more in amount to completely satiate us but it was okay. Not too expensive as well. Service was okay...
