Waldemar-Tagesbar — Restaurant in Vienna

Good food, a bit pricey but worth it. Drinks were fine. The place is decorated like your typical hipster cafe. Service was awful though, not the service workers' fault as they appear to be severely understaffed (2 waitresses serving 50+ people). I'm astounded they managed a smile at all. We had to wait for about 20 minutes to get seated even though we'd called them two days ahead; I'm assuming our reservation got lost. The tables are loosely crammed together in an attempt to seat as many persons as possible. Not a big fan of the metal grid chairs either - having to sit on them for longer than half an hour is uncomfortable at best. If anything, the food makes it worth it. I wouldn't recommend going here if you're looking to do work or catch up with friends though, as the overall atmosphere is rather loud...

Found this little gem right next to Schönbrunn Palace and couldn’t be happier! The place was packed (always a good sign) but we lucked out with bar seats by the window - perfect for people-watching while we ate. The food looked so good I nearly took photos before digging in! That chicken sandwich? Just what I needed - hit the spot completely and kept me going all day with a proper smile on my face. Staff were lovely too - attentive without hovering, friendly without being over-the-top. Just right. Such a nice quiet spot despite being so central and easy to get to. If you’re in Vienna and feeling peckish, do yourself a favor and pop in here. Your taste buds will thank you! A proper hidden treasure that deserves all...

Horrible service. Not the fault of the waitress given they didn’t seem to have enough staff working. Only 3 servers for a large restaurant. And only on person making coffees for a breakfast place with 50 people. It took 20 minutes to get the menus, then another 10 to get the coffees. We even had to wait 15 minutes just to pay at the end!

Coffees were not good - we had a cappuccino and a latte and could hardly taste any coffee. Food was very plain (we had banana bread and baguette with salmon) and not at all worth what we paid.

In the end, we had bad service, bad food, and bad coffee. Save your time and money and go...
