This was the highlight of Schobronn Palace for us. The palace is beautiful, but so are many others throughout Europe. What set it apart was this children's museum. If ever back in Vienna I would actually skip Schonbrunn (we had to wait so long to get in we hardly saw the rest of Vienna because of it) but I wouldn't mind popping back to the children's museum there. It is effective in teaching children (and adults) what life was like there. Read more4.5 * Just a quibble: the rocking horses in the entrance area need repair, they're a little shabby. Apart from that - my eight year old and I both enjoyed it very much. The guided tour is included in the entrance fee, the guide was very nice, the children could participate plenty. After the tour, my girl spent ages preparing and serving food in the dining room - real cutlery and crockery, fake food - with new-found friends. Our child was having an ice cream. We were informed that we cannot enter with food by the gatekeeper. We decided to finish up the ice cream outside.
