The service was quite slow, and unfortunately, the waitress was very rude. Despite that, we decided to wait for our food — and to be fair, it was worth it. The portions were very generous and the food was delicious.

I was even planning to return the next day for dinner, but after checking my bill, I changed my mind. I had ordered a schnitzel listed on the menu for €16.50 (number 5), and the waitress asked if I wanted pork or beef. I chose beef, thinking it was simply a choice of meat for the same dish. Only when I received the bill did I find out I had been charged €23.50 for what she claimed was a “special Wiener schnitzel” — something I was never informed about.

The waitress did not explain that choosing beef would mean ordering a completely different and more expensive dish, and her arrogant attitude made the situation even worse. This kind of upselling without proper communication feels dishonest and misleading. Very disappointing experience — I won’t...

We were looking for a cozy spot to try some Austrian classics, and this place delivered just that warm, hearty vibe.

Of course, I had to order Almdudler (when in Austria!) and my favorite — Radler 🍋🍺 We got the #1 dish on the menu — something with bacon — plus a schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn for dessert.

The fried potatoes next to the bacon dish? Incredible. Crispy, golden, and way more generous in portion than I expected.

The bacon dish was a bit salty, but still tasty, and the schnitzel was much better than I remembered from a past visit. Not the most mind-blowing food of the trip, but solid, comforting, and satisfying.

✨ And the portions… wow. Three of us shared two mains and felt so full — and then came dessert 😅 Kaiserschmarrn, a shredded fluffy pancake with powdered sugar — is technically dessert, but felt like...

This restaurant was next to our hotel (Mercure Westbahnhof) and it did not dissapoint! it was our first meal in Austria, Vienna everything tasted good from soups to main dishes. We tried the beef broth soup Pork medallions with Potato Croquettes and pepper sauce Bread dumplings with Beef goulash

the bread dumplings are a bit dense so we didn't eat much of it...but the pork medallions were surprisingly tasty! i really liked it the prices here are very good compared with the City (Stephansplatz) because it is situated in Westbahnhof everything is more friendly priced. Also the Beef goulash was thick and tasty (big pieces of beef...that's how it should be!) We didn't try the wiener schnitzel over here but i'm sure everything is tasty as well.
