Otto’s Restaurant, should be the only one here allowed to use said name, with all the others assigned a number after the title because without a shadow of doubt, they are second when placed in comparison.

When on vacation, landing in Munich, then by train to Prague, and then by train to Vienna. This dinning experience was unparalleled, not only here in Vienna, also in either other city. If you’re looking for spectacular food that is authentic, truly believe that no trip to Vienna would be complete without eating here. If you want more than just food, to experience the more about the culture, then you have found the right place. Otto’s Weingartshofer Restaurant offers the best meal I’ve had thus far on vacation, with charismatic service from, the boss himself, Otto. Best restaurant here period…

I am aware there are many with great food, yet eating here was more than just food. Humility, hospitality, and huge portions served with a friendliness of an old friend. Eating here was just all around one of the best would not say meals, rather a dining experience. Frankly, I can’t say enough, happy to answer questions, explain things, make suggestions, background information, history, ingredients and even allowing us to sample some things. The whole thing was nothing short of an experience, left me feeling full from the decadently delicious food, also enlightened by some of the artisan ways the dishes are prepared. If you only eat one place on vacation here, I overwhelmingly recommend going here. Five stars doesn’t do it proper justice! I would have an eaten another whole entrée, the food was that impressive, if only the first entree had not been so large, barely finishing it. Try the homemade potato salad, Otto takes the time and begins to prepare it each morning at 5 Am it by hand, a very labor and time intensive process. Much like your mother’s cooking as a child, but this is better, you can taste the love, traditions and artisanship in every entrée, side dish anything that was presented at the table.

Truly, astonished at how wonderfully the experience was beginning with an inclusive smile, lite jokes, to being able to know what you’re ordering, not feeling like a foreign tourist, next, the overall presentation of the food will have your entire family, taking pictures of every dish and ending ready to fall into a truly American food coma. I promise you will taste the difference, this I am beyond certain of, truly takes pride in the food, service and making it more than a meal. We will be returning here as soon as possible. First of all, this is a very nice restaurant, The size of the dish is much bigger than I expected ,The owner of restaurant is very friendly ,nice. The prices for the dishes are perfect! Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant if you are traveling in the area.

But there was a small misunderstanding tonight. After I finished the dish, my wife and I thought it was very delicious and wanted to take the rest away (I wanted to take it home).

But maybe because my English was not very good and I did not express myself clearly, The boss cleaned up the food on the desk .

I want to say that the food prepared by the restaurant was very delicious and I am sorry for wasting food，and I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

In short, if I come to Vienna next time, I will come back to this restaurant for...

We had dinner here recently. The owner/waiter was so lovely, very busy as he was doing everything on his own, but he still took the time to explain some of the food options and the wines. The food was amazing and as everyone else comments, big portions, but it is cheaper than most places we ate in over a two week period and much better quality as well. We wanted to try the famous stewed plum dessert, but unfortunately, we were too full to even taste it! Highly recommend this restaurant. As others have said, it is not a beautiful outlook, but once you start eating, it doesn't matter as you concentrate...
