I visited Royi’s Creperie on a crazy day right before I flew back to Finland and let me tell you - it was the highlight of a whirlwind trip! The mushroom crepe was a work of art. As someone who adores wild mushrooms and forges the forests of southern Finland for all my favorite, this crepe was a treat. The rich earthy flavors and delightful texture made my mouth so happy! He brought out a table for my partner and me to dine outside and chairs for us to put our belongings. He also gave us a sweet fermented drink (twice!) he made for us to try, which was delicious with a nice complex taste profile. The food were made with inspirational passion and innovative combination. The dough was crusty and puffy magically in the same time. The filling was fresh and flavorful. Most importantly, the chef is a guy so dedicated to gastronomy that he shared with me a lot interesting stories of him learning cooking around the world.
