My stay at Hotel Indigo Vienna in 2018 was a pleasant and comfortable experience that offered modern amenities and a convenient location for exploring the city. Located in the heart of Vienna, Austria, this boutique hotel provided a stylish and unique atmosphere. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was welcoming and accommodating. They provided helpful recommendations for nearby attractions and dining options, enhancing my overall experience in Vienna. The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated with a contemporary design that exuded a sense of sophistication. The bed was comfortable, and the room was well-appointed with all the necessary amenities. However, I found the size of the room to be slightly smaller than I had expected. The hotel's restaurant offered a delicious breakfast spread with a good variety of options to choose from. The food quality was excellent, and the service was attentive, creating a pleasant dining experience to start the day. The location of Hotel Indigo Vienna was a definite highlight. It was conveniently situated near many of Vienna's famous landmarks, and the nearby tram and subway stations made it easy to access other parts of the city. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to the bustling city center meant that there were plenty of dining and shopping options within walking distance. The hotel's unique design and décor, inspired by the surrounding neighborhood's artistic heritage, added a distinct charm to the overall ambiance. While the majority of the staff was friendly and helpful, there were a few instances where I felt the service could have been more attentive and proactive, particularly during peak hours. In conclusion, Hotel Indigo Vienna provided a comfortable and stylish stay in the heart of the city. The modern amenities, convenient location, and unique design elements were definite highlights. While the room size and occasional lapses in service were minor drawbacks, they did not significantly impact my overall enjoyment of the stay. I would rate Hotel Indigo Vienna with four stars, acknowledging its positive attributes and considering it a solid choice for travelers seeking a contemporary and well-located accommodation option in Vienna.

Update (10-2-24): STILL no fix on the IHG website for this issue. I've tried to report to IHG's digital concierge, two "live" texting agents, their ever-changing phone numbers, the main company email address, and most recently Twitter/X to no avail. Even PayPal was trying to help assist IHG. Just don't seem interested whatsoever in fixing this issue. DISCLAIMER: I in no way, shape, or form hold this particular hotel accountable for this issue. As the gentleman who replied to me mentioned, this is something controlled by IHG and their tech support group (if it exists). IHG just doesn't seem interested whatsoever in fixing this issue, which is preventing me from consciously transferring money to this hotel (and IHG) for my potential upcoming stay. I'd hate to have to find another hotel brand to stay with, but it really shouldn't be this difficult to reserve a room. Sorry Hotel Indigo Vienna, your parent company has extremely poor customer service. Hopefully you can "shake the tree" from your side and get them to actually fix the issue Please FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, fix your Payments page on the IHG website. Have been trying for days now to register a hotel room at your location on the IHG website using the PayPal option it's been broken since mid last week, which I've tried to point out NUMEROUS times to the "help" line for IHG and their online chat. They blamed you guys first, saying they would submit a ticket, before hand-to-god giving me your hotel phone number and asking me to complete my PayPal registration that way (???). At this point, it's STILL not fixed, and IHG is no help. Would really like to use you as my stay location, but it seems your parent company isn't Reay interested in fixing their IT issues

Can't fault this hotel, great location, excellent rooms and friendly service. I had made two separate bookings for personal and work, and they managed to easily accommodate us so that we didn't have to move rooms. We had a balcony room which was very spacious, comfortable and clean. I particularly loved the separate toilet and shower room. The hotel reception is really lovely, has a bar (we didn't go there) but the staff were friendly to us as we walked past them when entering the hotel lobby area. They have a really spacious gym with loads of equipment and also an underground carpark if needed. The hotel is a short walk to the inner centre of town and even more conveniently located about 1 min from the U4 Green Line Pilgramgrasse station. The only two negatives, which didn't impact our overall stay were: 1. The Shakshouka plate offered for breakfast was pretty below average. It was not traditional and is simply a bunch of spinach leaves with a poached egg on top, it was quite disappointing. The buffet selection however was very decent. 2. On departure I was advised that we were incorrectly charged in our pre-booking, and that we owed €2.34 extra... Seemed a bit weird that we weren't informed of this up on check in and that the person at the front desk said we could pay this via card - the card fee alone would be stupid to justify. It was lucky we had cash. Overall a great stay and would definitely stay there again if we come back to Vienna.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! I would call myself an easy going person. However the events that have transpired at the Hotel Indigo Vienna Naschmarkt are absolutely unacceptable and I feel the need to speak up. Upon arrival my friends and I were enchanted with the entrance into the hotel. Excited about our stay I will say we did arrive early. However we did not expect to be checked in. I came in with the expectation to be able to have the hotel hold our luggage. I gave the front desk notice of our arrival and they said that one of the three rooms I booked was ready. With that she said that all of the rooms would be close together as our group is traveling young women and being together matters. We put our things in the room and left for the day. Two more of our companions checked in at 3 as they had just flown from overseas. Upon arriving back to the hotel to get the key to the final room the front desk seemed to be a bit frazzled at the fact I was there to check in for the last room. I had to explain multiple times the situation as no one on the team seemed to have communicated with each other. With that loss of communication it was found one of the rooms was put on the complete opposite side of the floor we were on. Not together as promised. I didn’t complain as I didn’t see it worth the trouble. The second straw would be the ant infestation. One of the rooms on the second day was infested with ants. They had to move my friends from the floor we were on together to the bottom floor without offer of compensation. My friends were offered free breakfast and free laundry service in exchange for ants being in their luggage and throughout their room. We didn’t complain because things happen. The third day my roommate and I woke up to find that we too had ants all over our room. I calmly went to the front desk and requested cleaning. Not making a fuss and was offered no compensation for the trouble. Not a complaint was made. My last straw was coming back to my room after a long day of exploring to find that my AirTag I had just bought the day previous was gone. I had left it on the desk under the TV along with some receipts. My roommate and I calmly searched all of our belongings which isn’t much to see if maybe the cleaning service had moved it as they had moved some of things the days prior. However when it wasn’t found that was my last straw. I went to the front desk to be met with little to no help and an offer of free breakfast as it seems that it the only compensation the hotel seems to know. I had to leave for Ireland the day that I checked out and had to check my bag as that is the reason that I purchased it. On top of this my friends in another room had all of their souvenirs not only from Vienna thrown away but also souvenirs from our past travel destinations such as Croatia and Venice. Things that as of now are unretrievable and lost/taken. I had to leave with the unease of not knowing where my bag is in my travels. I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated with my stay. Along with the AirTag being gone, I found articles of clothing of mine missing as well. So not only did we have two ant infested rooms, but many of our belongings had gone mysteriously missing as well. ON top of all of that throughout our stay we found hairs in our “fresh” towels, and our room was barely cleaned even when we asked for it to be after the ant infestation .on the morning of my check out I spoke to the manager but this is absolutely unacceptable. I’m upset and frankly feel violated at the conduct of the staff at this hotel. This had to be one of the worse stays I’ve experienced in a long time as I left with a sense of unease rather than one of being relaxed and not wanting to leave. I would not recommend this...

We stayed here for 3 nights for my birthday.

Quirky hotel right outside the S Bahn stop, walkable to the city centre and a very cool area. Decor was modern and quirky with a lot of light.

Check in had no IHG priority and we were left holding our luggage for a good 5-10 minutes before we were attended to.

While my status was recognised upon check in the benefits were not offered, only points were offered up front. I responded what about the breakfast and he then said oh yes of course, filled out a voucher for 1 days breakfast where again I pointed out we were entitled for each morning of our 3 night stay, he crossed out on the voucher and said it was not an issue as it was in the system.

Come the morning after the second night were told at breakfast was not included, 15 minutes later after chasing we were allowed breakfast but we were not offered the ala carts menu (we were on the first and last morning).

This day was also my birthday, call me spoilt but part of going away to a hotel for your birthdays especially as premium member we do expect a small note/card/cake etc but we did not recieve anything and worse than this while we were out for the day(do not disturb was not placed on the door) we discovered housekeeping had not even visited our room upon our return. I returned downstairs informed the front desk to be told that housekeeping was off for the day and they would inform the house keeping manager the following day (we check out).

I asked for fresh towels and water and had to wait in the lobby for them to arrive.

We were then offered a drink at the bar which we declined as it was 11pm and went to bed after also informing it was my birthday and that we expected better.

The following morning at breakfast we were offered 3 stale cakes from the day before (very obvious they were not fresh) with waitress saying “something happened yesterday, we were unsure if this was for the birthday or the lack of service?

Upon check out nothing was mentioned by the hotel staff until I brought it up and only after asking was I offered a discount on our last nights stay

No ownership, apology or accountability.

Ultimately we feel very let down by the lack of ownership when mistakes happen. I can’t imagine when I will have a chance to return to Vienna again but if I were to I doubt I would stay here again based on...
