Oh dear… This place has been going downhill continuously in the last three decades. I used to come here mainly for their excellent cuisine, and of course to meet people. Around 15 years ago, I came back once and felt put off by the grey and cold atmosphere. This afternoon, I decided to give it a try again - and had one of my worst dishes ever in Vienna (the Villa Bowl). One server was nice and smiling (but brought the large version of my drink without asking), the other didn’t even return my greet (and served me the wrong cutlery). Not surprisingly, the place was empty on a Saturday afternoon. Gosh…I never thought that I would ever have to say “never again”...
Read morei am not allowed to eat wheat, so I am often quite feeling like I miss out when going out for dinner. not at villa vida, besides the fact that the atmosphere is just lovely, the cook Margaret, guided me through the menu and showed several choices, i.e. there is quiche (my favorite food), made out of chickpeas, so for once I was allowed to indulge, and also there is a great gluten free home made chocolate pie.. my friend had the chicken curry, and that was just fantastic as well. and also the cappuchino is super with that oat milk or soy milk options. The 2 requested the glasses back before we even finsished our drinks... Unbelievable! Sad bar for all queers. The service made 3 trips for 4 drinks and requested tip when paying. Also they didn't understand...
