Welt Cafe (world Cafe) — Restaurant in Vienna

We went there because we saw that they have vegan options for brunch. The buffet cost 15,50 per person. We took a look at the options,less than 50% of the food wasn’t vegan. There was cakes, none of them was vegan, there was 4 salads, one had eggs, the other had cheese, the other had tuna (all items that could be served in the side) there was only one vegan salad. Enormous plates filled with ham and cheeses. 2 spread that were vegan, the others had eggs or yogurt on them. Under the much smaller options the vegan buffet had, we asked if there was a price difference to have less than half the options. They said no. They are not creative on the serving of the non vegan options and they are not flexible with the prices. Stick to coffee and desert! Great ambiance, great for coffee and cake in the afternoon while you read a book or work, great to meet friends, very spacious and comfortable, nice staff that won't constantly nag you. As for lunch, I've tried it four or five times, but it was fine at best 30% of these. Very irregular in that sense - mostly I found food sounded good and inventive, but felt like it was made...well...without love. It was just the most basic, with basic taste, no nice sauces or anything to make a difference. Potatoe stew tasted like it was made out of powder, chicken like it was industrial -- definitely didn't taste like it's organic.
