Very friendly staff, good food.
I see were the negative reviews/comments are coming from, but I feel like it is more the stress the staff deals with when a lot of people/big groups come all at once. Or it might be a culture thing, as the Austrians I observed in the bakery seemed to decide what to order beforhand and then go order it/ask minimal questions - which seems to be the norm here.
I spend some time in this bakery, whenever I visit it and also noticed that the staff does not seem to treat arabic guests badly in general. I got to see some exchanges where they were treated very nicely often after being nice to the staff themself.
As for the staff speaking loudly - yes, I noticed this too. They seem to be under a lot of pressure trying to fullfill orders as fast as possible. I've noticed that they sometimes forget to lower their voice aftwr an extra busy period or when trying to communicate as fast as possible in a different language. I would not consider it shouting tho.
Maybe it's a culture thing, maybe it is stress related mishaps but in my experience the staff is at least as friendly and as respectfull towards thw guests as the guests are towards them - which seems to be the norm in Austria. A friendly greeting, clear handsignals, some patients, tpping will help you greatly in setting the tone right, all of which are the standard in Austria.

Read moreI have encountered some racism in more than one place. I will definitely not return to Austria again... I believe that Austria is still living in the medieval era... Tourism is a source of income for you. You must develop it and take care of the tourists...
As for the bakery They dealt with us in a rude and distasteful manner, and they treated the local residents with all politeness and kindness!! What is this racism? To be honest, Christina apologized to us and dealt with us in a professional and elegant manner... I know that you work under pressure and the number of employees is not enough to serve customers, but that does not mean that you should deal with tourists rudely!! We wanted to order more, but the unpleasant behavior made us leave , and I will definitely not return to it. It is a less than normal bakery, nothing special, the cups were dirty, and the tall old woman almost...
Read moreI’ve visited this bakery several times during my trip, and every time we encountered the same rude and arrogant treatment. Even though the area is famous among tourists, they still treat us rudely. Whether they are short-staffed or busy with customers, they treat locals very differently than tourists. Today, I waited a long time for the woman to take my order as I needed it to-go to enjoy the pastry during my trip, but she took a long time to come. All the employees just passed by us and didn’t...
