Phoenix Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in New Providence

To start with the bad part, the bathroom wasn’t very clean or new and you could not really dry your hands. The rest of the restaurant was bit narrow overall and didn’t look that great from the outside. However when we came in the smell was pretty good and all the food looked very nice. The waitresses were a bit slow and a bit confused but that seems to be how everyone in the Bahamas is. The menu looked very good and they had a huge variety of food to choose from. When the food came everything was very hot and you had to be careful to not burn yourself, but it was a good indication that the food has been made fresh and it is way more enjoyable if it is hot. Small restaurant, a few blocks to the left of the cruiseport gate as you come out from the cruise. Few businesses is open on that block, tourist crowd do not seem to flow much to that direction, however, the restaurant was super busy. When we talked to the Chinese lady in her booth to ask for a table of 4, she didn't look at us nor responded. Instead, she turned to yell at a waitress about something. A different waitress came and greet us instead.

We got to a table and ordered spicy chicken wings, beef chow fun, and combination fried. The wings were delicious. The other two items were ok. Gratuity is 10% and already included in the bill along with Tax. They take cash only on all orders, eat in or take out.

Great tasting food. Friendly staff. Of course chinese food is always kind of salty and oily. They have variety of food to choose from. Personally I like their friend rice and chicken. They serve alcoholic beverage also. Mostly they are busy especially with cruise ships around. One important note please double check your receipts before billing out. It happens to my experience(s) with food items included in the receipt which we did not order. Please please. You're paying enough for tax and grats but the food is amazing.
