Bayside Food Store — Local services in New Providence

Small and stuff is crammed on the shelf. The Asian decent woman that works there was EXTREMELY RUDE. She was staring us down the whole time and when my sister got water out of the overly stuffed refrigerator an orange juice fell out of the refrigerator on the ground spilling on the ground. She saw this happened and never offered to help but instead gave us dirty glares. When we brought it to the counter to make them aware of the spill she starts yelling saying we gotta pay for the orange juice. If she wasn’t so rude and explained I would have been fine but she was disrespectful so I argued with her I wasn’t going to pay. She saw it fall out when we didn’t even touch the orange juice. She was nasty and should have handled it better. Needs to learn some professionalism instead of calling the police over a 4 dollar...

This place was a savior. When staying for a week on the island., things get pretty pricey. This was the only place on the island we found close-to-normal pricing. I see a few reviews that say otherwise here, but here's a few examples: most places near downtown on the island wanted $25 to $29 U.S. for a normal sized bottled of sun screen. Here they wanted $12 (which is what we pay at home). Everywhere we went we paid $3+ per bottle for water,. Here we paid $1.49. While not everything might be normal pricing, the things we needed were. They got all the essentials so it's worth the exploring in Nassau. Just look out for a bunch of sleezy slime balls sales people and solitocrs comning you to buy junk.
