I have rated the place with one star even though everything is nice
The food is amazing probably the best place for me to eat , the service is nice and they are all friendly but I rated with one star because Calexico have been always my place to eat and to also party.
Until last Friday when I bought my ticket to the Euphoria event to support my friend and the general manager was at the door (maybe he is not the general manager but that’s what he said) he’s name I think (Adi)
This guy was so rude and he stopped me and he said no entry just balanced group go get a girl then I will let you in otherwise I’m returning your ticket money. I explained that I party almost every weekend here and all my friends are inside and I’m here this weekend to support my friend then he goes SHOUTING first of all I don’t know you, this is a new policy. No balanced group then no entry.
I stopped talking out of respect and I told him I respect ur policy to defuse the situation and also will not get myself to this level, I called the event organizer then the dj came down to let me in.
All I’m saying I will respect whatever policy you want to have but to communicate it this way is not professional.
I hope the management sees this review and take action with people like “Adi the general manager” to explain to him that we are customers bringing money so you can get paid the least you can do is be respectful unless I wasn’t then you call the police not shout and be disrespectful ;)

Read moreI recently dined at Calexico in Adliya, Bahrain, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few notable highlights and areas for improvement.
First off, the atmosphere of the restaurant was incredibly cozy, providing a comfortable setting for a meal. The place was clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall positive impression. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and efficient, which made our dining experience enjoyable.
However, the seating was less comfortable than I had hoped. While the ambiance was great, the chairs and tables could use some improvement in terms of comfort.
We started our meal with jalapeño poppers, which were stuffed with a delightful mix of feta cheese and spinach. They were a standout dish, both flavorful and satisfying. The chips and salsa were also a hit; however, I was a bit disappointed that the salsa wasn’t refilled without an additional charge.
For the main course, we ordered a variety of tacos. The cheeseburger tacos, unfortunately, were too salty for my taste. On the other hand, the crispy chicken tacos were fantastic—the chicken was tender and well-seasoned. The only downside was that the taco bread felt a bit heavy.
Despite a few minor issues, I’m looking forward to returning to Calexico to explore more...
Read moreThe food was quite delicious, it’s the whole reason I didn’t give the place 1 star. The reason I gave it a low rating was the atrocious level of service by the host that was managing the reserved tables. I arrived around 10 pm last Wednesday and was seated by the bar, which I didn’t mind because I didn’t make a reservation. The host, a bearded man who I assume was a local by his accent, saw me dancing by the bar and made me move to one of the reserved tables, claiming that the people that reserved them didn’t come and he wanted to fill the space. I obliged and around 30 minutes later he asked me to vacate for two women that came for ladies’s night. He had moving around the restaurant multiple times with little respect and barely apologised. He offered me anything to drink for this inconvenience. Upon giving him a request, he dismissed me by telling me to tell this to the bartender. I asked for a Virgin mojito and was surprised that I was immediately charged despite being told that I was to receive a drink as compensation for the incident that just happened with the host. No apology was offered for this and I left afterwards feeling extremely upset. I will never come back to this establishment, and that is mainly because of the host. Please manage your staff...
