Beefko — Restaurant in Bahrain Island

We visited this place by chance, and thank God it was a good one. The staff are friendly and informative about the menu items 5/5 We've ordered bulgogi chicken bites 5/5: the sauce was sweet and spicy with good cooling ranch on the side 👌 Crispy beef taco 4/5: the whole combination was real tasty but the meat was a bit chewy and had some fat pieces. Chicken tenders for the kids 5/5: real crunchy and came fast. Slow cooked ribs with rice 5/5: the ribs were really tender and the soy on the side complemented the whole dish. Bbq beef ribs with fries 4/5: unlike the other dish, the meat here was a bit dry so we needed extra bbq sauce to give it some moisture. Ribeye steak with fries 4/5: the size and the cooking were on point but the meat itself wasn't as tender as expected. Beefko ribs burger 5/5: the flavors were great and the meat was juicy. I used to pass by this restaurant often and noticed it seemed quite deserted, with only a couple of tables occupied. This always deterred me from giving it a try.

However, on my recent visit, I decided to take a chance. The restaurant spans three floors, and they offered us a choice between indoor and outdoor seating on the third floor.

Given the lovely weather, we opted for the outdoor seating and were pleasantly surprised to find it bustling with activity. We managed to snag the last available table, a stark contrast to my previous impressions of the place.

I was amazed by the quality of the food. The service was prompt, the food delicious, and the overall dining experience was very enjoyable, especially the dessert. Additionally, the prices were quite decent compared to the portion sizes, offering good value for money.

This visit has definitely changed my perspective, and I am looking forward to returning to this restaurant...

I ordered their signature burger as per the waiter recommendation, the truffle fries, and truffle steak risotto.

**The burger: it is a slider size burger, seriously you need two at least, it is like a kids burger. They call it smashed however the thickness says otherwise (around 1.5cm) buns are good, cheese as well, overall rating 6/10.

**The risotto: taste good, cooked very well, taste is mild with no vibrant flavours, the steak pieces are tender however no crust. The truffle taste is mild to almost not there. Rating 6.5/10.

**The fries: crunchiness is great, topped with pieces of ground beef (not grilled enough to have a crust so it is grey), the truffle is not there like the risotto as they combined it with Mayo so the flavour was not strong. Rating: 6/10.
