Oliveto — Restaurant in Bahrain Island

We were a group, and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant.

Parking Issues: It started with the parking situation. When we inquired about the valet service, we were told that they were the valet but couldn’t take our car due to a lack of available spots. Finding parking turned into a frustrating endeavor, requiring us to park quite far from the restaurant.

Customer Service: The customer service was equally disappointing. The staff appeared disorganized and unhelpful. When we raised concerns about our experience, their responses were dismissive rather than accommodating.

Food Quality: The quality of the food did not meet our expectations. It fell short of the menu descriptions and left us feeling unsatisfied.

Billing Confusion: To add to the chaos, our bill was presented three times, each with a different amount. This was not only confusing but also frustrating, especially since it did not align with our booking agreement.

Seating Arrangements: The seating was another letdown. The tables and chairs resembled something you’d find at a low-budget wedding—poor quality and uncomfortable for dining.

For the 1st time we had asked Oliveto to arrange a Catering for us last weekend at our home. It was absolutely amazing!! The quality of the food was excellent and the amount of food that was delivered was extremely generous. Chef Antonio really went “above and beyond” to make this catering experience to something very special that exceeded all our expectations. The variety of dishes were superb to fit everyone’s requests and taste. Chef Antonio even prepared the food himself beforehand at the restaurant and that of course gave a personal touch to the catering. The assistant Chef and Service Manager arranged the entire set up and preparation at our house to ensure the food was well presented and served at the right temperature and at the right time. They helped with the service and stayed during the entire duration of the catering. So really PERFECT catering service!!! Also price wise the Oliveto is very competitive. We received several quotations from other hotels and restaurants. Oliveto offered the best value in terms of price-quality-service. Yesterday we were the very first time in this restaurant. We were stunned by the atmosphere. You are seated between lovely old olive trees and the interior of the place is very stylish and yet does make you feel cozy and comfortable. We also enjoyed the beats of the DJ and the blue pool in the middle definitely adds to the vacation vibes. Overall I would describe it as nothing less than perfect. I can say the same about the service, our server Kamal took good care of us the whole evening, he made good recommendations and no extra wish was unfulfilled.
