I was eager to explore this newly opened lounge/restaurant, however my experience began with an unfortunately off-putting interaction with the security personnel stationed outside. Upon arrival, I expressed my interest in checking wait times or possibly making a reservation for a future visit. However, I was denied entry and asked to wait outside.
While security protocols are important, being turned away from the entrance felt unnecessary, particularly for a new establishment that's likely striving to cultivate a welcoming atmosphere.
Perhaps a more hospitable approach, such as offering to check availability while I waited briefly inside, would have been more inviting.
I later followed one of the secuirty guards who I thought is taking me to the receptionist to check on the availabilities and reservations, but then, I was pushed away (literally by hands) from the security inside as if I was thief or somebody from the hood. I was also mocked that I wanted to make a reservation two weeks ahead of time? Like what’s the joke all about? And why can’t I see the place for future reference before reservation since I am here already?
I trust that that you guys will consider revisiting these procedures to ensure a more welcoming experience 🤷🏻♂️ wish I can give you less...
Read moreWas recommended by a friend. Did not disappoint. We went there for lunch. We were the first customers which was good as we had very very good service.
I started with a double scotch and it was quite tasty.
I moved on to the snails for my starter and the seafood risotto for my main. Flavors were great. The snails were outstanding. Great flavors. Could have ordered another plate as my main. Yes that good.
The seafood risotto was quite good and also loved the flavor profile. It matched my palate so, nothing was left behind.
Our server Raul was very attentive and aimed to please. He was fantastic!
Inside (atmosphere) I had to give only 3 stars because it smelled like cigarettes. This is a smoke friendly establishment so it is what it is. No biggie but I’m used to smoke free environments. But one thing they need to get a handle on are the flys that sneak in to the restaurant. We aren’t eating outside so no excuse. Maybe put out fly traps or fly paper to control them and then remove the traps before the crowds show up? Just a thought.
Bottom line - yes I would come back. Yes I would eat there again (food is really good). Perhaps next time I will eat there for dinner as it looks like it gets lively at night.
Check it out. You...
Read moreI walked into Nook this evening with some friends who are visiting from US. From the moment we walked in, I knew I'd like the place. We were greeted warmly by the hostess, and quickly seated. As we sat at our table, I looked around a bit, and the place is great! The atmosphere and the music really set a great vibe for the evening.
And we didn't have to wait long at all until Naeem arrived to answer any questions we had about the menu and offer some great recommendations. He was knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and quite amiable. We ended up having the dynamite shrimp (I don't like seafood, but this was pretty good actually), CAB sliders (absolutely delicious), and some drinks. I love a good G&T, and I indeed had a good one (or two), while my friends had Pina colada and strawberry margaritas (of which they both really enjoyed).
Between the staff, atmosphere, food and drinks.... this place is really great! And I learned that it recently opened, so I am definitely excited to see it grow. If they keep doing what they're doing, it will soon be one of the best...
