LNT Lounge — Restaurant in Bahrain Island

Surprised at what this place has come to since it launched 5-6 years ago. This was one of the coolest, hip and unpretentious spot that was known for their good drinks, food and mostly, good music! Since I haven't set foot in it in the past 2 years, and have been recently (just two weekends ago), the music has changed to pop Arabic, with shishas, and all the good previous LNT team left the place. Thankfully, my friend and I did not plan to spend the entire evening there. The place is well aware of the changes, and it shows how desperate it is now, not to bring back what it used to be, but to generate profit by changing the concept of what it was. It's failing big time, crowd looks completely unfamiliar with what it used to be, and the emptiness on a Thursday night with such loud Arabic pop was a shock to what it used to be. It's not designed to be like that, and maybe if they treated it as a typical conventional lounge, soft lights, good music (no shisha) it would have not destroyed the brand it once was. At least the furniture and design of the place remained the same, and that's what I'm giving it 2 stars, in addition to the good drinks....

The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice. We chose outdoor dining with live music. The service was very good and fast. The dip for papad (complimentary) was very nice. The overall taste of food was okay. We ordered pepperoni pizza, a mix grill, bread basket, tawa murgh and chicken Tikka masala. Pepperoni pizza - it's a fresh flat bread pizza, we enjoyed eating it. It was juicy and i would try again Mix grill - it had chicken, fish, prawns and meat kabab. Quantity was just ok. Taste was good. Bread basket - 4 different breads which was good Chicken Tikka masala - not so great, have tasted better. Taste and quantity could have been better. Would definitely not recommend Tawa murg - the curry was good to have with bread I would personally recommend pepperoni pizza, mix grill, and tawa murg. We had a very bad experience, I went with a friend, we were setting at the bar, all was ok untill the waiter comes and tell us that my friend was not setting in the best way because he was not front the bar but back to the bar!! We were very surprised as we was not blocking any passanger way and were just discussing. He added that it is his rules and started to be agressive. We just left this bar after the owner came and tried to sort it out but did not gave any appologies neither the waiter. Anyways, it was a bad experience, we had just changed the bar, there are plenty of nice places just nearby with very nice staff. We will never comeback to this place again.
