WORST SERVICE EVER! My family and I are the type of people who don’t complain even though we aren’t satisfied with the food and services that we have and this is the very first time I will raise a complaint about our experience in Pong’s Thai Restaurant. The service that we had today was WORSE AND AWFUL and it should be addressed! It is not the same management as before. There is no Thai Server or Chef. It is now all Indians. My family had dinner in Pong’s Thai Restaurant around 5:40 pm ( June 25, 2024, Tuesday ). The Indian Server took our orders which are the usual favorites papaya salad, green curry chicken, and pad thai noodles. The server was very lazy and you could see in his Aura that he didn’t like what his doing and taking orders by his body language, tone of voice, and the way he communicated with us. At first, we didn’t mind it, and when he asked us about our drinks we ordered Thai Milk Tea or Iced Milk Tea and he chuckled and said “It’s all the same”. I asked him to make it Less Ice as the usual order. When the orders arrived we noticed that the portions of the order were less than before. When we tried to mix the milk tea very well and tasted it, it was very sweet like we zipped the sugar syrup directly in the bottle. We called the attention of the server and asked him politely to give us some ice and milk to lessen the sweetness of the milk tea. However, it was still the same, the server told us that they used the same ingredients and there was nothing he could do about it. We let the ice melt and mixed it very well but still, we could not drink it at all because of the sweetness. My sister came to the cashier to bring her drink and asked him politely to do something about our drinks because we could not drink it. Instead of helping us and fixing the issue the server even blamed us that we should inform him in the first place to make it less sweet. Again we are regular customers and we know the taste of what we’ve ordered. It caught my attention that the Indian server didn’t want to do anything which is why me and my brother came together to explain to him and fix the issue. THE WORST PART HE DID was he took my sister's milk tea and walked out then he angrily threw the milk tea in the garbage in front of us. He said “I will remove it from your bill” We asked him how about the other drink? He said “What I will do? This was already made and this is not my fault” and still he doesn’t want to do anything about it. We asked him again politely if he could not remove it from our bill and then make a new one which is less sweet. He took the drinks and kept them inside the kitchen and when he gave us what we requested it was still the same drink he just added some Literally Tea with floating Tea Leaves. We were fed up with his behavior of being close-minded and rude which is why even though we were not finished eating we asked for the bill and paid then left. WE FEEL SORRY FOR THE OWNER OF THE RESTAURANT THAT HIS STAFF DESTROYING THE GOOD RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CUSTOMERS AND THE BUSINESS. Pong’s Thai Restaurant NEVER AGAIN! And I will definitely inform all my friends and family not to visit your restaurant again!

A Thai Culinary Haven in the Heart of Hoora, Manama - Pong's Thai Restaurant Tucked away in the bustling district of Hoora, Manama, Bahrain is an exquisite gem named Pong's Thai Restaurant. As you step inside, the fragrant allure of Thai spices is a testament to the authentic culinary journey that awaits you. From the first mouthful to the last, Pong's offers an experience that's as close to dining in Thailand as you can get without leaving Bahrain. Their Seafood Fried Rice is a crowd-pleaser. Each grain of rice is perfectly cooked and bursting with flavors from the fresh shrimp, squid, and mussels. The dish is brought to life with the savory notes of soy sauce and a hint of spicy chilies, making it a beautiful symphony of taste and texture. The Beef Sesame is a perfect combination of tender, succulent beef and robust, toasted sesame seeds. The sauce straddles the line between sweet and salty, making this dish nothing short of addictive. The Mango Salad is a fresh burst of flavors. Juicy strips of mango mixed with crunchy, fresh vegetables, all tossed in a tangy lime and fish sauce dressing. It's a wonderful, refreshing interlude between the main courses. The Papaya Salad mirrors the mango salad in quality, with its tart, spicy, and crunchy notes. The combination of unripe papaya, cherry tomatoes, and roasted peanuts create a texture and flavor sensation that's truly unique. The Tempura at Pong's is a culinary work of art. The light, fluffy batter envelops perfectly cooked vegetables and seafood, yielding a satisfying crunch with each bite. The sweet dipping sauce is the perfect companion to the dish. Their Tom Yum soup is a fragrant, fiery, and flavorful bowl of comfort. The combination of lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, and succulent shrimp creates a harmonious and soulful dish that's sure to leave you satisfied. To round off this flavorful feast, the Thai Iced Tea is a must-try. The strong, rich black tea balanced with the sweet, creamy condensed milk creates a refreshing and delightful beverage, a perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. In the heart of Manama, Pong's Thai Restaurant shines as a beacon of Thai authenticity. It's a haven for those craving a genuine taste of Thailand right here in Bahrain. With its depth of flavors, friendly staff, and a vibrant atmosphere, Pong's is definitely a must-visit dining destination.

We went to Pong Thai after hearing good reviews from friends. The place is in a narrow street but has parking in small vacant place near it. The order came without much delay. We were Three people and ordered three dish with one watermelon smoothie total bill 9BD. Food was tasty and we could get it more spicier as per choice.

[ ] “I recently visited Pong’s Thai Restaurant in Manama, and I must say that I was impressed with the quality of food and service. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. The menu is extensive, and there’s something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the prawns , which was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. The mixed rice was also excellent, with just the right amount of spice. The tom yum soup was flavorful and had a nice balance of sourness and spiciness. Overall, I would highly recommend Pong’s Thai Restaurant for anyone looking for authentic Thai...
