Spice Mystery Restaurant W.L.L — Restaurant in Bahrain Island

I just wanted to update my previous review and raise my appraisal by one star (but, alas, google would not permit me to change my rating). How can the chef get gobi manchurian to taste so good? Wonder whether the chef uses msg. Couldn't stop eating that gobi! Ordered chicken pubjabi. Don't know why it was green but it was very tasty much better than so-called chicken curry. Previously, I ordered a mutton -- I think rogan josh -- but there was too much by way of bone and gristle; better stick to chicken. My colleague ordered dal -- tadka I believe -- also quite good (I sampled it). From my original review (redacted): Overall good place with some limitations. It is a small place with just, if memory serves, four tables with four chairs each. There is aircon but no windows open for ventilation. As for food, I was largely satisfied. Just beware that what is written on the menu is sometimes inaccurate/misleading. What they refer to as chicken curry is indeed chicken masala. Order fish curry, you get, you guessed it, fish masala! Masala is not my favorite curry but I have to admit, they did a reasonable job of it. Not surprisingly, the fish variant had an immense quantity of gravy with a very small portion of fish; that I expected and actually served me as I brought one seabream that I previously baked the night before and fileted but needed some spicy concoction to enliven it! On the contrary, the chicken variant had generous portions of chicken and not so much gravy. You figure it! Along with jeera rice, three tandoori roti and 1/2 liter of sweet lassi for BD4.6. Superb Mumbai style food. My partner tried the pomfret tawa fry with fish curry and steam rice. It was delicious. I tried their chicken manchurian rice which is similar to Mumbai style Chinese preparation way. The taste is awesome. Food was served piping hot and freshly prepared. The quality of the fish was very good. Chicken was tender. Paid public Parking is available if slot is empty. Simple, clean and hygienic ambience. Owner is humble. Overall I would love to go there gain and again specially for Mumbai...

Very very bad services spice mystery we are regular customer of spice mystery for office party or lunch but they serve worm in food also unhygienic and old food even they can’t accept fault when we’re going there for complaints the doing misbehave with us please don’t go in spice mystery if you want...
