Perhaps the worst buffet in Chittagong within the 1100 taka price range. We chose Pavilion over Bonjour because we wanted to try something new. That was a mistake. It was an Iftar buffet, but the Iftar items weren't included in the buffet, despite advertisements suggesting otherwise. We were served a plate of regular Iftar items, such as peyaju and beguni, and that was it. Out of the around 45+ items advertised by Pavilion, almost 20 items were in that one plate which weren’t refillable. And I don't think all the items were served anyway, for example, I saw no sign of 'Faluda' anywhere. There was something resembling 'Semai' which I refuse to accept as faluda. In the main course, there were about 20 items, four of which were rice, fried rice, paratha, and naan. I didn't even know what most of those items were, as there were no tags on them. I would have taken some photos to post here, but the place was so congested, resembling a mejban, and people were scrambling for the little food that was served, so I couldn’t manage to take my mobile out. The management isn't running a buffet; they're trying to force people to eat less by serving less. People were literally waiting for them to refill the empty trays, and the waiters were bringing out portions that might suffice for 10 people at most, while more than 100 people were waiting.
The dessert was a shameless affair, to say the least. The pudding was the only edible item out of the 5 or 6 dessert courses served by Pavilion.
I've only had buffets at Bonjour and Silver spoon, as I don't eat out much. But if you ask me to compare Pavilion to Bonjour, I would say the service at Pavilion was akin to some roadside hotel. There were flies everywhere, for f' sake. The staff were inadequate and untrained. I couldn’t even find a waiter to ask for a fork.
And the overall atmosphere was terrible. The staff refused to turn on the AC, claiming it would be too cold. It was a buffett, yet the waiters were serving us food, practically refusing us to take as much as we wanted. This list could go on but overall you get the idea. Just avoid going there....

Read moreCame all the way from Canada to visit, and wow I’m appalled by the treatment here. Having booked a room previously at the connected hotel and paid a significant amount of money to eat here, I figured we would be treated the same when we returned. However the treatment can most generously be described as appalling. They claimed the restaurant opened at 12:30 and so we arrived at 12:26. It was scorching hot as you can imagine and with our group included little children who were becoming sick from the heat. I kindly asked if air conditioning could be turned on by which I was very rudely told “Wait 4 minutes, the restaurant isn’t open” I had to plead my case just to feel comfortable in a place I would be paying money to eat at. Ridiculous behaviour!! Oh and forgot to mention, there was a cockroach...
